Arrest Report- June 14, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 52 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Johnna R. Taylor, 35, 109 Ronnie St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on June 13, 2019, at 9:21 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was stationary on Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway in Baldwin, La. when he observed a vehicle traveling over the posted speed limit. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Taylor. The deputy was informed by dispatch that Taylor was driving under suspension. Taylor was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

Travis Daniel Fuselier, 28, 1008 Academy Dr., St. Martinville, La., was arrested on June 13, 2019, at 11:07 am on a warrant for theft.

The warrant stems from an incident back in May 2019 in which Fuselier was identified as the subject in the theft of YETI coolers. Fuselier was transported from the St. Martin Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Jeremiah Jawayne Wiltz, 32, 227 Arlington St. #2, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on June 13, 2019, at 12:27 pm for aggravated flight from an officer, no driver’s license, and possession of stolen things.

On Thursday, June 13, 2019, at approximately 12 pm, a deputy received information of a stolen vehicle in the Baldwin, La. area. The deputy observed the vehicle at a local business a short time later in Franklin, La. The deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle when the driver sped up to evade the deputy. The driver, identified as Wiltz, was apprehended after a short vehicle pursuit. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Janell Davis, 39, 1219 Josephine St., Franklin, La., was arrested on June 13, 2019, at 6:28 pm on a warrant for theft by shoplifting.

Davis was located at the Iberia Parish Jail on the active warrant and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. She was released on her own recognizance.

 

Tre’Jhon Sari Marks, 19, 536 Big Four Corners Rd., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on June 13, 2019, at 7:45 pm for littering.

A deputy was traveling South on Hwy. 83 in the Ashton, La. area when she observed a hand reach out of a window of a vehicle a release an object. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with Marks, who admitted throwing a piece of paper out of the window. He was arrested and issued a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

Eddie Caldwell, 56, 107 St. Louis St., Raceland, La., was arrested on June 13, 2019, at 10:06 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the charge of theft less than $1,000.

Caldwell was located in West Baton Rouge on the active warrant and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $1,500.
