Arrest Report- June 24, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 101 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Juan Ramirez Torres, Jr., 30, 195 Stacy St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 21, 2019, at 12:08 pm on (3) warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • possession of methamphetamine (under 2 grams)
  • possession/distribution/sale of a legend drug without a prescription
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Probation Violation
  • Contempt of court (x3)

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Grandwood Apartments in Patterson, La. in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a subject, later identified as Torres, flee into the woods. Torres was apprehended a short time later and the deputy was informed by dispatch that Torres held an active warrant for his arrest. Torres was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Robert L. Robertson, Jr., 50, 821 Henkle St., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on June 21, 2019, at 1:44 pm on (3) warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Speeding (x2)
  • Driving under suspension
  • Operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled (x2)
  • Disobey traffic light

Robertson was transported from Jeanerette Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the active warrants. Bail has been set at $7,250.

 

Tyler Anthony Courville, 29, 200 Mark Ln., Lafayette, La., was arrested on June 21, 2009, at 7:29 pm for driving under suspension.

A deputy was dispatched to the area on Hwy. 90 near the Baldwin, La. exit in reference to a reckless driver. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Courville. The deputy was advised through dispatch that Courville’s driver’s license was suspended. Courville was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. He was released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

Kiamani A. Beasley, 33, 422 Joseph St., Baton Rouge, La., was arrested on June 21, 2019, at 8:18 pm for driving under suspension and speeding 16 to 19 mph.

A deputy was stationary on Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Beasley. The deputy was advised by dispatch that her license was suspended. Beasley was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

Edward Beasley, 65, 422 Joseph St., Baton Rouge, La., was arrested on June 21, 2019, at 8:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving while intoxicated.

A deputy conducting a traffic stop made contact with Beasley and was advised through dispatch of an active warrant for his arrest. Beasley was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. He was released on his own recognizance.

 

Samantha Nicole Johnson, 32, 3600 Shannon Dr., Moore, OK., was arrested on June 22, 2019, at 3:18 am for domestic abuse battery, child desertion, and disturbing the peace intoxicated.

Jason Dean Wagnon, 39, 3600 Shannon Dr., Moore, OK., was arrested on June 22, 2019, at 3:18 am for disturbing the peace intoxicated.

Deputies were dispatched to a local business in Amelia, La. in reference to a report of a possible abducted child. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the Johnson and Wagnon. During the investigation, the deputies learned that an infant child had been left alone by Johnson. Johnson and Wagnon were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Wagnon was released on a summons to appear on September 26, 2019. No bail has been set for Johnson.

 

Cletis Tinh Viet Vu, 36, 2401 Lake Palourde Rd., Amelia, La., was arrested on June 22, 2019, at 8:24 pm for stop signs and yield signs, and driving under suspension.

A deputy was stationary at the corner of Delmar St. and Southeast Blvd. in Bayou Vista when he observed a vehicle fail to stop at the intersection. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Viet Vu. The deputy was advised through dispatch Viet Vu was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Viet Vu was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

Denodia Keitra Toussaint, 41, 113 Eighth St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on June 22, 2019, at 9:14 pm on the charges of possession of schedule II drugs (x2) and possession of a legend drug without a prescription and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway in Baldwin, La. when he observed a vehicle swerve to avoid a subject walking extremely close to the roadway. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Toussaint. The deputy was advised through dispatch that Toussaint held an active warrant for her arrest. During the investigation, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located. Toussaint was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

John Michael Barone, 26, 232 S L St., Lake Worth, FL., was arrested on June 23, 2019, at 12:15 am on the following charges:

  • Driving while intoxicated – 1st offense
  • Aggravated flight from an officer
  • Reckless operation no accident
  • No headlights
  • Obstruction of justice

Deputies responded to the area of Hwy. 90 in Amelia, La. in reference to a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lane without any working headlights. After a short pursuit, deputies were able to conduct a traffic stop and make contact with the driver, identified as Barone. While deputies were speaking with Barone, they could smell the odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. The deputies conducted field sobriety in which Barone performed poorly. Barone was transported to the Berwick Police Department for chemical testing on the Intoxilyzer 9000, which he refused. Barone was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $3,250.

 

Jacob Wilson Zirlott, 35, 224 Oneida St., Charenton, La., was arrested on June 23, 2019, at 3:36 am for obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana – 2nd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was traveling westbound on Hwy. 182 near Main St. in Franklin, La. when he observed a subject riding a bike. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Zirlott. During the investigation, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located in a book sack Zirlott was carrying. Zirlott was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $1,500.

 

Jonathan James Russo, 30, 213 Charenton, Rd., Baldwin, La., was arrested on June 23, 2019, at 11:17 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery – felony.

A deputy working an unrelated complaint made contact with Russo, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Russo was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $2,500.

 

Terry Lynn Lewis, Jr., 33, 5708 Jefferson Island Rd., New Iberia, La., was arrested on June 23, 2019, at 2:01 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • DWI – 1st offense
  • Careless operation of a motor vehicle
  • Failure to dim lights –  for oncoming traffic
  • Operating a vehicle without properly lit lamps for conditions
  • Operating a vehicle without proper required equipment

 Lewis brought in to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on a bond surrender and was booked and incarcerated. Bail has been set at $1,500.

 

Roderick Vaughn Dominick, 21, 1123 Highway 83, Franklin, La., was arrested on June 24, 2019, at 12:35 am on the following charges:

  • Speeding
  • Driving under suspension
  • Possession of a legend drug without a prescription
  • Switched license plate/stolen license plate
  • No insurance

A deputy was sitting stationary on Ralph Darden when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Dominick. Through the stop, the deputy learned that the license plate was registered to a different vehicle, Dominick’s driver’s license was suspended, and no insurance was secured on the vehicle. Dominick was arrested and released on a summons to appear on September 26, 2019.

 

Bethany Rose White, 22, 907 Belanger Street, Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 24, 2019, at 5:02 am for the following charges:

  • Driver must be licensed
  • Expired license plate
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of methamphetamines
  • Possession of schedule II drugs

A deputy patrolling the area of Bayou Vista was dispatched to Clarke Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle complaint.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with an off duty Patterson Police Department officer who stated that he observed a vehicle constantly passing with the lights off. Shortly after, the deputy observed a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, White. During the stop, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found.  White was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Tyler Andrew Wilson, 46, 153 Nini Lane, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on June 24, 2019, at 3:18 am on (3) warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • possession of clonazepam (x2)
  • possession of drug paraphernalia (x2)
  • possession of methamphetamine (x2)
  • violation of uniform CDS law in a drug-free zone
  • possession of oxycodone
  • possession of testosterone cypionate
  • possession of subutex
  • possession of alprazolam

A deputy patrolling the area of Bayou Vista made contact with Wilson, who held active warrants for his arrest.  Wilson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $18,500.

 

Teresa Jennings, 33, 271 Grandwood St., Patterson, La., was arrested on June 23, 2019, at 10:47 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, obedience to officers and traffic signs, and failure to honor written promise to appear.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista responded to a minor traffic incident and made contact with Jennings. Through the investigation, the deputy was advised by dispatch of an active warrant for Jennings’ arrest.  Jennings was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. She was later released on a $350 bond.
