St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jamerson James Williams, 41, 3111 Rose Lawn Dr., Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 26, 2019, at 2:08 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

Williams was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on the active warrant. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $1,432.00.

 

Glenn Miller Mitchell, Jr., 31, 2433 Bayou Black Dr., Gibson, La., was arrested on June 26, 2019, at 2:44 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Lakeview Rd. in Amelia, La. when he observed a vehicle without an operating brake light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Mitchell. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Mitchell held an active warrant for his arrest. Mitchell was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Rebecca Ann Corbett, 42, 2059 Levee Hwy., Pierre Part, La., was arrested on June 26, 2019, at 7:01 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and unauthorized use of a movable $500 or more.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on Southeast Blvd. in Bayou Vista, La. in reference to Corbett, who held an active warrant for her arrest. The deputy made contact with Corbett and advised her of the warrant.  Corbett was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Chelvaura Q. Gray, 32, 322 Deare St. Lot #38, New Iberia, La., was arrested on June 27, 2019, at 12:41 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Ralph Darden Parkway in Baldwin, La. when he observed a vehicle fail to use a proper signal when making a turn. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Gray.  The deputy was advised by dispatch that Gray was driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Gray was released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

John Anthony Lockett, 47, 213 Lockley St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on June 27, 2019, at 1:16 am for speeding and driving under suspension.

A deputy was stationary on Ralph Darden Parkway in Baldwin, La. when he observed a vehicle being driven over the posted speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Lockett. The deputy was informed by dispatch that Lockett was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Lockett was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

Isaiah D. Heathmon, 32, 902 North Louisiana, Kaplan, La., was arrested on June 27, 2019, at 2:36 am for driving under suspension, license plate lights required, and a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding.

A deputy was patrolling the Baldwin, La. area when he observed a vehicle without an operating license plate light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Heathmon. The deputy was informed by dispatch that Heathmon was driving under suspension and that he held an active warrant for his arrest. Heathmon was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $2,250.

 

Brittany Lynn Epperson, 31, 1100 Lia St., Patterson, La., was arrested on June 27, 2019, at 2:26 am for no taillights and driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Lassus St. in Patterson, La. when he observed a vehicle without operating taillights. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Epperson. The deputy was informed by dispatch that Epperson was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Epperson was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.
