Arrest Report- July 3, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Tristen Alexander Naquin, 24, 331 Laurel St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 2, 2019, at 9:59 am for an expired license plate, no insurance, and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of telephone harassment.

A deputy was traveling west on Hwy. 90 in Patterson, La. when he observed a vehicle traveling under the speed limit with emergency flashers on. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Naquin. Naquin’s license plate was expired and he had no insurance on the vehicle. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Naquin held an active warrant for his arrest. Naquin was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $500.

 

Katelynn A. Perez, 24, 1101 Southeast Blvd., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 2, 2019, at 3:36 pm on a (2) warrants for failure to appear on the charges of probation violation, theft, and violation of a protective order.

Perez was located at a local business in Franklin, La. on the active warrants and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Laci Lanclos, 36, 130 Seneca St., Port Barre, La., was arrested on July 2, 2019, at 10:03 pm for no taillights and driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 90 west in Berwick, La. when he observed a vehicle with an inoperable taillight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Lanclos. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Lanclos held an active warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and issued a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019. 

 

 

Trey Michael Hebert, 23, 311 Hwy. 1012, Napoleonville, La., was arrested on July 2, 2019, at 11:33 pm on a warrant for probation violation.

A deputy was dispatched to a disturbance at a local business in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Hebert. During the investigation, it was learned by dispatch that Hebert held an active warrant for his arrest. Hebert was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Johnell Dyer, 42, 1808 End St., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 2, 2019, at 6:37 pm on the following charges:

  • Resisting a police officer with force or violence (2 counts)
  • Second-degree battery of a police officer
  • Possession of schedule II drugs (crack cocaine) with the intent to distribute
  • Possession of schedule II drugs (powdered cocaine) with the intent to distribute
  • Possession of schedule I drugs (marijuana) with the intent to distribute
  • Violation of CDS law in a drug-free zone (school, church)
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Resisting an officer by giving false information

Narcotics detectives were patrolling the area of Patterson, La. when they observed a subject on a bicycle on Como St. near Plum St. conduct a hand to hand transaction with another individual. When detectives attempted to make contact with the subject, later identified as Dyer, he began to flee but was quickly apprehended. During the investigation, drugs were located. During the arrest, Dyer became irate and resisted detectives. Dyer was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $200,000.
