St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 194 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Curtis Adam Picard, 30, 128 Tunica Dr., Charenton, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 8:16 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, no inspection sticker, and improper lamps.

Picard was transported from the Iberia Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrants for his arrest. Bail has been set at $2,500.

 

Walter William Kidder, 35, 205 Neptune St. #3, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 12:39 pm on (3) warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of Subutex
  • Possession of Suboxone
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of marijuana (14 grams or less)
  • Failure to stop/yield at a stop sign
  • Criminal neglect of family (x2)

Kidder was turned in by a bondsman at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrants for his arrest. Bail has been set at $1,826.

 

Jarrod Preston Bellard, 35, 1048 Sonny Driver St., St. Martinville, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 12:50 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled and general speed law.

Bellard was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on the active warrant for his arrest. Bellard was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Timothy Scott Crum, 40, 437 Hwy. 663, Bayou L’Ourse, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 5:27 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Crum was transported from the Assumption Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrants for his arrest. No bail has been set.

 

Wosha Anthony Ruffin, 39, 1031 Grace St., Siracusa, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 5:31 pm on a warrant for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of schedule I drugs with the intent to distribute (ecstasy), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ruffin was transported from the Terrebonne Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrants for his arrest. Bail has been set at $1,500.

 

Eduardo R. Varela-Rodriguez, 32, 100 Friendswood Ct. #24, Houma, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 5:37 pm on a warrant for forgery, identity theft, and unlawful production/manufacture/distribution/possession of fraudulent documents.

Varela-Rodriguez was transported from the Terrebonne Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrants. No bail has been set.

 

Deontay Deion Jones, 22, 528 Taft St., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 9:43 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

Rhykeelon Jae’von Talver, 21, 806 Tall Timber Ln., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 9:43 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

A deputy working a detail observed two subjects, identified as Jones and Taylor, fighting at a local business. Both Jones and Taylor were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail on Jones and Taylor has been set at $1,000 each.

 

Michael Ray Walker, 32, 19021 Palmer Creek Dr., Saucier, Ms., was arrested on July 3. 2019, at 10:48 pm on (2) warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Improper backing
  • Operating a vehicle without a driver’s license on person
  • Improper turn/failure to give proper signal
  • General speed law
  • Operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s license

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 in Centerville, La. when he observed a vehicle fail to use a proper turn signal. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Walker. The deputy was advised by dispatch that he held an active warrant for his arrest. Walker was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $2,890.

 

Lonny Ray Baker, Sr., 53, 702 ½ Anderson St., Franklin, La., was arrested on July 4, 2019, at 2:31 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled.

A deputy made contact with Baker at 124 Welch Lane in Franklin, La. and advised him of the active warrant for his arrest. Baker was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Markeisha Dasean Jacquet, 29, 101 Rue Degravelle Rd. #1, New Iberia, La., was arrested on July 4, 2019, at 4:37 am for driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 A deputy was patrolling the area of Bollard St. in Baldwin when he observed a vehicle with no visible license plate. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Jacquet. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Jacquet was driving under suspension. During the investigation, drug paraphernalia was found. Jacquet was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Tiffany Lynn Remedies, 29, 5340 Hwy. 90 West, Patterson La., was arrested on July 4, 2019, at 9:12 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Remedies turned herself into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant for her arrest. No bail has been set.

 

Jeremie Martin Paul, 28, 109 Jupiter St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 4, 2019, at 10:58 am on simple battery and criminal damage to property.

A deputy was dispatched to 104 B Southeast Blvd. in Bayou Vista in reference to property being damaged. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Paul. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Paul damaged the complainant’s property and had committed a battery on the complainant. Paul was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $3,000.

 

Female Juvenile, 17, was arrested on July 4, 2019, at 1:48 pm for ungovernable juvenile.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Patterson, La. in reference to a missing juvenile. After further investigation, the juvenile was located and arrested. She was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Christine Elizabeth Sharp, 50, 2109 Hebert St., Franklin, La., was arrested on July 4, 2019, at 6:51 pm for driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area when he observed a vehicle make an improper U-turn near Southeast Blvd. and Hwy. 90. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Sharp. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Sharp was driving under suspension. She was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Dusty R. Stevens, 43, 2114 Lejeune St., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on July 5, 2019, at 7:53 pm for hit & run.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of Hwy. 87 near Myette Point in Franklin, La. in reference to a crash. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with witnesses involved in the crash. During the investigation, Stevens was identified as the driver who left the scene. Stevens was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Adrian Lynn Billiot, 37, 1000 Francis St., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 5, 2019, at 2:45 pm for disturbing the peace by language, entry/remain on premises after being forbidden, and a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple battery and disturbing the peace.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Patterson, La. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant said that Billiot was causing a disturbance. During the investigation, the deputy was advised by dispatch that Billiot held an active warrant for her arrest. Billiot was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $8,250.

 

Agatha Maria McCleary, 27, 508 Brashear Ave. B, Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 6, 2019, at 8:29 pm on (2) warrants for failure to appear on the charges of domestic abuse battery (1st offense) and theft (less than $1,000).

McCleary was located at a local business in Patterson, La. on the active warrants for her arrest. McCleary was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Troy Carnley, 39, 501 Henry Street, Patterson, La., was arrested on July 5, 2019, at 11:39 pm for resisting an officer by giving false information, resisting arrest or officer, resisting an officer by flight, and on warrants for the following charges:

Failure to appear warrant on the charges of:

  • Improper turn and/or failure to give required signal
  • Failure to maintain automobile liability insurance

Bench warrant (Patterson) for the following charges:

  • Trailer and towed vehicles
  • No insurance
  • Failure to carry registration
  • Expired license plate
  • Resisting an officer by flight
  • Theft of a motor vehicle

Valerie Soto, 35, 116 Moffat Court, Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 5, 2019, at 11:41 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

A deputy patrolling the area of Lake Palourde Road observed a vehicle with no operating taillights. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Carnley, and a passenger, Soto. During the stop, the deputy was advised by dispatch of an active warrant for Soto’s arrest.  As the deputy was arresting Soto, Carnley ran from the scene but was quickly apprehended. The deputy was advised by dispatch of the active warrants for Carnley. Carnley and Soto were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Cherie Anne Hazel, 27, 1800 Main St., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 6, 2019, at 2:14 pm for expired or no inspection sticker, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of Motor Vehicle Inspection sticker expired and no insurance.

A deputy was patrolling Bayou Vista when he observed a vehicle traveling with an expired inspection sticker. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Hazel. During the stop, the deputy was advised of an active warrant for Hazel. Hazel was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Hazel was subsequently released on a summons.

 

Manuel Garcia, 31, 129 Shannon St., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 6, 2019, at 1:52 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was the area of Amelia when he observed a vehicle cross the outer fog line prior to making a left-hand turn. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Garcia. During the stop, drug paraphernalia was found. Garcia was arrested and released on a summons to appear on October 16, 2019.

 

Kiharia Raiheem Harris, 22, 110 Bobtown Circle, Houma, La., was arrested on July 6, 2019, at 2:58 pm for possession of marijuana and seat belt required.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 90 near Patterson when he observed a man driving a vehicle without a seat belt. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Harris. During the stop, marijuana was found. Harris was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Harris was released on a $2,250 bond.

 

Marvin Mitchell Williamson, Jr., 54, 1502 West Highway 182, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 7, 2019, at 12:12 am for disturbing the peace by fighting.

Maria Cribeiro, 54, 505 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 7, 2019, at 12:57 am for disturbing the peace by fighting.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Saturn Road in response to a complaint of an altercation. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Cribeiro. During the investigation, Williamson was located at another location and was interviewed.  Williamson and Cribeiro were arrested and both released on a summons to appear on October 16, 2019.

 

Jadi Guerrero Williams, 30, 101 Southwest Blvd, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 7, 2019, at 9:56 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was stationery on Highway 90 East when he observed a vehicle cross the fog line before making a turn without using a turn signal. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Williams. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Williams was driving with a suspended license. Williams was arrested and released on a summons to appear on October 16, 2019.

 

Mong Tuyen-Thi Duval, 33, 406 Wedell Street, Patterson, La., was arrested on July 7, 2019, at 12:17 pm for driving under suspension and expired or no inspection sticker.

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle with no inspection sticker visible. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Duval. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Duval was driving with a suspended license. Duval was arrested and released on a summons to appear on October 16, 2019.

 

Leroy Jackson, 44, 132 BB Lane, Jeanerette, La., was arrested on July 8, 2019, at 12:10 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension and taillamps.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 90 near Patterson when he observed a man driving a vehicle without a seat belt. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Harris. During the stop, marijuana was found. Harris was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $310.

 

NARCOTICS/K9 SECTION

Akeem Jamal Williams, 22, 1121 Fulton St., New Iberia, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 9:16 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for driving under suspension and speeding.

A K9 deputy was patrolling the Baldwin, La. area when he observed a vehicle without any operable license plate lights. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Williams. The deputy was advised by dispatch that he held an active warrant for his arrest. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $350.

 

Leon Lipari, 36, 1207 Main Street, Patterson, La., was arrested on July 6, 2019, at 11:07 pm on three active warrants for the following charges:

  • License plate switched
  • No insurance
  • Theft

A deputy with the SMPSO K-9 Division was patrolling the area of Bayou Vista when he observed a vehicle cross the fog line several times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Lipari. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Lipari held active warrants for his arrest. Lipari was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Jamiyon J. Lee Bolden, 18, 439 Sorrell Road, Sorrell, La., was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 11:07 pm on the following charges:

  • Resisting an officer
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Possession of schedule I marijuana with intent to distribute
  • Possession of schedule II cocaine with intent to distribute
  • Possession of schedule IV xanax with intent to distribute
  • Possession of schedule II liquid codeine with intent to distribute
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Transactions involving drug proceeds
  • Monetary instrument abuse (counterfeit money)

And on four warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of marijuana
  • Operating an unregistered vehicle
  • Criminal trespassing
  • Contributing to the delinquency of juveniles
  • Operating a vehicle without a driver’s license
  • Attempted second degree murder
  • Aggravated assault with a firearm
  • Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities
  • Aggravated battery
  • Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
  • Resisting an officer
  • Illegal carrying of weapons

Detectives with the SMPSO Narcotics Section went to a location on Sorrell Road in regards to receiving complaints of illegal narcotics activity taking place. Upon arrival, the detectives observed two subjects and attempted to make contact with them. One of the subjects, identified as Bolden, began to flee on foot. Bolden was apprehended and was found to have drugs, drug paraphernalia, and counterfeit money in his possession.  Bolden also had active warrants for his arrest.  Bolden was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and is being held without bond.
