Arrest Report- July 11, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jaymie Bancroft Brownlee, 33, 10308 La. Hwy 182 W., Franklin, La., was arrested on July 10, 2019, at 7:22 am for possession of a legend drug without a prescription and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

A deputy was dispatched to Twin Brothers Road in Franklin in reference to a warrant arrest. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Brownlee and informed him of the active warrant for his arrest. During the investigation, drugs were located. Brownlee was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $9,351.

 

Brock John Savoie, 28, 1440 Hebert La I St., St. Martinville, La., was arrested on July 10, 2019, at 8:43 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was stationary on Hwy. 90 eastbound in Berwick when he observed a vehicle without an operating taillight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Savoie. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Savoie was driving under suspension. Savoie was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Rodney J. Lafont, 65, 100 Railroad Ln., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on July 10, 2019, at 3:07 pm for leash law.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Jeanerette in reference to an animal complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated her daughter was bitten by a neighbor’s dog. During the investigation, the deputy learned the dog belong to Lafont. Lafont was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2016.
