St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 158 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Dalaina Rentrop, 26, 331 Hwy. 663, Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 14, 2019, at 11:35 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was traveling on Hwy. 90 near Shady Side when he observed a vehicle cross the fog line multiple times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Rentrop. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Rentrop was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Rentrop was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Liliac Todd, 63, 642 Eighth St., Franklin, La., was arrested on July 12, 2019, at 11:57 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was assisting other deputies with a traffic incident when he made contact with Todd. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Todd was driving under suspension. Todd was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

 

Drew Ryan Baugher, 28, 111 Rizzo St., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 12, 2019, at 12:23 pm on a warrant for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless operation.

Baugher turned himself into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant for his arrest.

 

Darryl James Perry, II, 30, 303 David Rd., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 13, 2019, at 1:30 pm for stop signs/ yield signs and driving under suspension.

Deputies were patrolling the area of Anthony St. and Arlington Dr. in Bayou Vista when they observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. The deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Perry. Deputies were advised by dispatch that Perry was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Perry was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Heidi Renee Sams, 40, 189 Polaris St., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 13, 2019, at 8:30 pm for remaining on property without permission and disturbing the peace (noise).

A deputy was contacted by an off-duty officer who was advised of a disturbance at a residence in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated Sams was causing a disturbance. Sams was arrested and issued a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Joseph Anthony Acosta, 27, 621 Grove St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 14, 2019, at 8:45 am for no inspection sticker and drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Lake Palourde Rd. in Amelia when he observed a vehicle without an inspection sticker. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Acosta. During the investigation, drug paraphernalia was located. Acosta was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Kyle Guilbeaux, 37, 114 Oak Hill Rd., New Iberia, La., was arrested on July 14, 2019, at 2:43 pm for possession of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and reckless driving.

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Hwy. 90 East in Jeanerette in reference to a reckless driver. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a vehicle swerving between the left and right lanes. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Guilbeaux. During the investigation, an open alcoholic beverage was located inside of the vehicle. Guilbeaux was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Krystl Lee Hall, 35, 218 C. Romero Rd., New Iberia, La., was arrested on July 14, 2019, at 7:02 pm for hit & run, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no insurance.

Deputies were flagged down by a subject and were advised of a suspicious vehicle at a local business on Arlington Rd. in Bayou Vista. Deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Hall. During the investigation, deputies were advised by dispatch that Hall had no vehicle insurance and drug paraphernalia was located. Hall was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.
