Arrest Report- July 18, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 53 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Russell Cooper Johnson, 35, 222 Elmer Ave., Metairie, La., was arrested on July 17, 2019, at 10:49 am for failure to yield and driving under suspension.

A deputy was stationary in the Amelia area when he observed a vehicle fail to yield to oncoming traffic. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Johnson. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Johnson was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Johnson was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Bricelon Lamon Martin, 22, 1211 B. Samuel St., Franklin, La., was arrested on July 17, 2019, at 4:08 pm on a warrant for aggravated battery.

Martin turned himself into the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin on the active warrant for his arrest. Martin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

 

Nicholas Anthony Gamble, 39, 1049 Grace St., Siracusaville, La., was arrested on July 17, 2019, at 4:53 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple criminal damage to property less than $1,000.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Grace St. in reference to an anonymous tip of a subject with a warrant. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Gamble. Gamble was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $2,000.

 

Don’treka M. Tillman, 22, 220 Belanger St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 18, 2019, at 3:00 am for driver must be licensed and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery.

A deputy was traveling east on Hwy. 182 in Morgan City when he observed a vehicle with an obstructed temporary license plate. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Tillman. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Tillman held an active warrant for her arrest. Tillman was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Leontine Samaroo, 31, 104 Todd Ln., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 18, 2019, at 4:30 am for aggravated battery and simple criminal damage to property.

Deputies were dispatched to 104 Todd Ln. in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Samaroo. During the investigation, deputies learned that Samaroo was involved in an altercation. Samaroo was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
