Arrest Report- July 29, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 118 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Lenord Howard, Sr., 29, 1016 Cypremort Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 11:10 am for driving on right side of roadway, driving under suspension, and possession of marijuana.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 90 near Hwy. 318 in Franklin when he observed a vehicle operating in the left lane without actively passing any vehicles. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Howard. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Howard was driving under suspension. During the investigation, drugs were found. Howard was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Sheila Antoniette Gallow, 33, 1027 West Eleventh St., Crowley, La., was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 3:35 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple criminal damage to property under $500 and criminal trespass.

A deputy was traveling west on Hwy. 90 in Patterson when he observed a vehicle with an obstructed license plate. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Gallow. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Gallow held an active warrant for her arrest. Gallow was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. She was released on her own recognizance.

 

Trelunn Celestine, 24, 923 Providence St., New Iberia, La., was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 3:52 pm for driving under suspension, improper lane usage, and possession of marijuana.

 A deputy was traveling westbound on Hwy. 90 near Zenor Rd. in Patterson when he observed a vehicle cross the fog line. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Celestine. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Celestine was driving under suspension. During the investigation, drugs were found. Celestine was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Devon Edward Marsh, 27, 1048 Ciro St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 8:34 pm for proper equipment required on vehicles and driving under suspension.

A deputy was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 182 in Siracusa when he observed a vehicle missing a passenger-side mirror. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Marsh. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Marsh was driving under suspension. Marsh was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Dakota Breeze Kleimann, 25, 109 Beau Lane, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 9:46 pm on a warrant for simple battery (involving domestic violence).

A deputy was assisting with a traffic stop on Hwy. 90 west in Patterson when he made contact with Kleimann. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Kleimann held an active warrant for her arrest. Kleimann was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Madison Young, Jr., 69, 1366 Joseph St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 9:49 pm on the following charges:

  • Turning movements and required signals
  • Driving under suspension
  • Open container
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Shelia Marie Ruffin, 62, 5290 Bayou Black Rd., Gibson, La., was arrested on July 26, 2019, at 9:49 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was assisting with a traffic stop on James St. in Siracusa when he made contact with Young and Ruffin. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Young was driving under suspension. During the investigation, drug paraphernalia was found in Ruffin’s possession. Young and Ruffin were arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Victor L. Crane, 51, 113 Shady Grove Dr., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 27, 2019, at 4:30 am for driving on roadway laned for traffic, driving while intoxicated (1st offense), and possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.

A deputy was traveling west on Hwy. 182 in Bayou Vista when he observed a vehicle cross over the centerline. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Crane. While the deputy was speaking with Crane, he could smell the odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Crane. The deputy conducted a standardized field sobriety test in which Crane performed poorly. Crane was transported to the Berwick Police Department for chemical testing on the Intoxilyzer 9000, which he refused. Crane was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $3,250.

 

Heidi Renee’ Sams, 40, 189 Polaris St., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on July 27, 2019, at 6:42 pm for misuse of 911 and disturbing the peace by language.

A deputy was dispatch to a residence on Polaris St. in Bayou Vista in reference to a trespassing complaint through 911. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Sams who stated that two subjects were trespassing on the roof of her residence, however, no persons were observed to have been on the roof. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Sams was warned on previous occasions about calling 911 for non-emergency purposes. Sams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $750.

 

Shane Calvin Theriot, 47, 216 Sanraen St., Charenton, La., was arrested on July 27, 2019, at 6:58 pm on a warrant for violation of protective orders.

A deputy made contact with Theriot at a residence in Charenton and learned through dispatch that he held an active warrant for his arrest. Theriot was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $2,500.

 

Brandon Lee Guidry, 34, 3257 Fourth St., Berwick, La., was arrested on July 27, 2019, at 8:26 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a motor vehicle not covered by security.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Patterson in reference to removing a subject from a residence. Upon arrival, deputies made a contact with Guidry. During the investigation, deputies learned by dispatch that Guidry held an active warrant for his arrest. Guidry was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $478.

 

Stacy Gerald Verdun, 49, 100 Lincoln Dr., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 27, 2019, at 8:56 pm for criminal trespass.

A deputy was dispatched to Two Sisters Ct. in Bayou Vista in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated that Verdun trespassed on her property. Verdun was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $1,000.

 

Tauwana L. Harris, 39, 439 Sorrel Rd., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 12:51 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, and failing to honor a written promise.

A deputy assisting with a traffic stop made contact with Harris. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Harris held an active warrant for her arrest. Harris was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $380.

 

Haley Comeaux, 21, 259 Adams Ave., Grambling, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 2:06 am on the following charges:

  • Driving on right side of roadway; exceptions
  • Open container
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Deputies were traveling on Hwy. 90 in Baldwin when they observed a vehicle swerve off the highway. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Comeaux. During the investigation, drugs were located. Comeaux was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Charlie Martin, 33, 304 E. Bolard St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 3:30 am on the following charges:

  • Driving on roadway laned for traffic
  • Resisting an officer by flight
  • Driving under suspension
  • Possession of schedule I drugs (Ecstasy)
  • Possession of marijuana

Deputies were patrolling the area of Hwy. 90 near Hwy. 3211 in Baldwin when he observed a vehicle cross the centerline. The deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the driver sped up to evade the deputy. The driver, identified as Martin, was apprehended a short time later. During the stop, drugs were located in the vehicle and deputies were advised by dispatch that Martin was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Martin was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $3,500.

 

Julia McIntyre Bailey, 58, 835 Two Brothers St., Amelia, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 12:36 pm for improper lane usage, driving under suspension, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was patrolling Lake Palourde Rd. in Amelia when he observed a vehicle cross the fog line. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Bailey. Dispatch advised that she was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Bailey was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019.

 

Jody Ray Cubbedge, Jr., 43, 622 Hwy. 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 3:53 pm for driving under suspension.

Jacey Naquin, 40, 213 West 4th St., Donaldsonville, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 3:53 pm for obstruction of justice, possession of schedule II drugs (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was patrolling on Hwy. 182 near Southeast Blvd. in Bayou Vista when he observed a subject who was known to have a suspended driver’s license driving a vehicle. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Cubbedge, and a passenger, Naquin. During the investigation, drugs belonging to Naquin were located. Cubbedge was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on October 16, 2019. Naquin was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Meghan Lynn Cheramie, 27, 7197 Park Rd., Morgan City, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 6:24 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of contempt of court.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 in Morgan City when he observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal while making a right turn. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Cheramie. The deputy was advised by dispatch that she held an active warrant for her arrest. Cheramie was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $700.

 

Female Juvenile, 10, was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 8:04 pm for simple battery.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Patterson in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant and witnesses who stated that the female juvenile had committed a battery. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Dowayne Charlot, 43, 1810 M. St., Patterson, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 10:27 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family (x2) and open container.

Deputies were dispatched to a business in Garden City in reference to a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Charlot and was advised by dispatch that he had active warrants for his arrest. Charlot was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $10,260.50.

 

Juan Chavez, 18, 2001 Second St., Amelia, La., was arrested on July 28, 2019, at 10:34 pm on the following charges:

  • Improper lane usage
  • Turning movements and required signals
  • Resisting an officer by flight
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of THC wax
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

A deputy was patrolling the area of Duhon Blvd. in Amelia when he observed a vehicle cross the fog line. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Chavez. During the investigation, drugs were found. Chavez was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $2,500.
