Arrest Report- August 9, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Herbert Johnson Feast, 52, 194 Emily Ln., Baldwin, La., was arrested on August 8, 2019, at 11:36 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was stationary on Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway in Baldwin when he observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Feast. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Feast was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Feast was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Lucien Paul Theriot, Sr., 30, 202 Vivian St., Bayou L’Ourse, La., was arrested on August 8, 2019, at 1:20 pm on the following charges:

  • Stop signs and yield signs
  • Improper lane usage
  • Possession of crack cocaine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug-free zone

A deputy was patrolling the Amelia area when he observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Theriot. During the investigation, drugs were found. Theriot was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Sheila Ratcliff Hodge, 56, 233 Vivian St., Bayou L’Ourse, La., was arrested on August 8, 2019, at 5:52 pm for hit and run and driving under suspension.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a crash. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant. During the investigation, Hodge was identified as the suspect who left the scene. Hodge was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Joshua Demarcus Moore, 21, 18733 Samuels Rd., Zachary, La., was arrested on August 9, 2019, at 3:16 am on a warrant for disturbing the peace by fighting and on the following charges:

  • Improper display license plates
  • Aggravated flight from officer
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Criminal trespass
  • Resisting arrest or officer
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • No driver’s license

Deputies were patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 east near Tournament Blvd. in Berwick when they observed a vehicle with inoperable license plate lights. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the vehicle began to evade deputies. After a short pursuit, deputies were able to conduct a traffic stop and make contact with the driver, identified as Moore. During the investigation, drugs were located. The deputies were advised by dispatch that Moore held an active warrant for his arrest. Moore was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
