Arrest Report- August 12, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 95 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Amanda Davis, 36, 257 Wren St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on August 9, 2019, at 5:47 am for possession of marijuana.

A deputy was dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Lake Palourde Rd. in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Davis. During the investigation, drugs were found. Davis was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Frank Joseph Keller, Jr., 32, 133 Two Sisters Ct., Morgan City, La., was arrested on August 9, 2019, at 6:56 am for domestic abuse battery.

A deputy was dispatched to Two Sisters Ct. in Morgan City in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim and a witness who stated that Keller had committed a battery. Frank was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $2,500.

 

Alysha Carlton, 29, 402 Clark Rd., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on August 9, 2019, at 7:35 am for possession of a legend drug without a prescription.

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Clark Rd and Canal Rd. in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Carlton. During the investigation, drugs were located. Carlton was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Timothy Wade Mitchell, 53, 2832 Fourth St., Berwick, La., was arrested on August 9, 2019, at 11:36 am for possession of schedule I drugs (MDMA), possession of schedule II drugs (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Canal Rd. in Bayou Vista when he observed a vehicle with an inoperable brake light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Mitchell. During the stop, drugs belonging to Mitchell were found. Mitchell was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Justin Omar Singleton, 21, 1008 Irish Bend Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on August 9, 2019, at 2:32 pm on a warrant for obscenity.

Deputies were dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Singleton who had an active warrant for his arrest. Singleton was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $25,000.

 

Demarkous Clay, 37, 3907 Relius Ronsonnet Rd., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on August 9, 2019, at 9:57 pm on the following charges:

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS
  • Possession of schedule I drugs
  • Driving on right side of road; exceptions

Steven Laros Proctor, 31, 20035 Hwy. 182 West, Jeanerette, La., was arrested on August 9, 2019, at 9:57 pm on the following charges:

  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS
  • Possession of schedule I drugs
  • Possession of schedule II drugs
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of angling without a license

A deputy was stationary on Hwy. 90 westbound when he observed a vehicle traveling in the left lane without turning off or passing other vehicles. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Clay, and the passenger, Proctor. During the investigation, drugs and a firearm were located. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Proctor held an active warrant for his arrest. Clay and Proctor were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set on Clay and Proctor.

 

Tracey Renee Lewis, 42, 115 Fortier Ln., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on August 10, 2019, at 11:22 am for battery of a dating partner.

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Fortier Lane in Jeanerette in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim and Lewis. During the investigation, the deputy learned Lewis committed a battery. Lewis was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $1,500.

 

Je’Mario Jermain Williams, 18, 4403 Heath Drive, Baker, La., was arrested on August 10, 2019, at 2:37 pm for resisting an officer with force or violence, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies were traveling on Hwy. 182 East near Garden City when they observed a vehicle fail to use proper turn signals. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and several passengers, one identified as Williams. During the stop, drugs belonging to Williams were located. As Williams was being arrested, he resisted. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $6,000.

 

Lawrence Joseph Lofton, 30, 204 Ninth St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on August 10, 2019, at 9:40 pm for possession of marijuana and open container.

Deputies were patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 near Orphan’s Rd. in Baldwin when they observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Lofton. During the investigation, drugs belonging to Lofton were located. Lofton was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Lakeisha Marie Rhine, 21, 2205 North Frazier St., Conroe, Tx., was arrested on August 10, 2019, at 10:16 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

Dominque Michelle Honore, 32, 9232 East Clairborne Parkway, Bridge City, La., was arrested on August 10, 2019, at 10:16 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

Namus Curtis Rhine, Jr., 29, 2205 North Frazier St., Conroe, Tx., was arrested on August 10, 2019, at 10:16 pm for criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.

Deputies were dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with witnesses. During the investigation, deputies learned L. Rhine, Honore, and N. Rhine had been involved in an altercation. All three subjects were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail on N. Rhine has been set at $2,000. Bail has been set for L. Rhine and D. Honore at $1,000.

 

Eric Michael Frentz, 33, 208 Willowbend Ln., Hwy 182 W., Patterson, La., was arrested on August 11, 2019, at 12:24 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family (x2).

A deputy was patrolling the area of Duhon Blvd. in Amelia when he made contact with Frentz. The deputy was advised by dispatch of the active warrants for his arrest. Frentz was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Lamaris Tywan Ruffin, 20, 5250 Bayou Black Dr., Gibson, La., was arrested on August 11, 2019, at 5:11 am on a warrant for the following charges:

  • Driving on roadway laned for traffic
  • Aggravated flight from an officer
  • Resisting arrest or officer
  • Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Ruffin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from the Terrebonne Parish Jail on an active warrant for his arrest. No bail has been set.

 

K9 SECTION

Quantavius Lamar McCann, 24, 600 Knottingham Trail, Houston, Tx., was arrested on August 11, 2019, at 11:53 pm for possession of marijuana, no license plate light, and no taillights.

Mikheal Tanisha Neal, 21, 600 Knottingham Trail, Houston, Tx., was arrested on August 11, 2019, at 11:53 pm for possession of marijuana.

Deputies were patrolling the area of Hwy. 90 in Patterson when they observed a vehicle with an inoperable license plate light. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, McCann, and a passenger, Neal. During the investigation, deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. K-9 Chara was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff and alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. During the search, drugs were found. McCann and Neal were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set on McCann at $2,500. Bail has been set on Neal at $2,000.
