Arrest Report- August 13, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Lakeshia Bias, 21, 141 Friendship Alley, Amelia, La., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 1:40 pm for theft.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in the Bayou Vista area in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a manager who stated that Bias had committed a theft. Bias was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Antonio Garcia, 29, 160 Thirteenth St., Corpus Christi, Tx., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 1:42 pm on the following charges:

  • Careless operation
  • No driver’s license on person
  • Open container
  • Resisting by force

A deputy was stationary near Barrow St. and Lake Palourde Rd. in Amelia when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Garcia. As Garcia was being arrested, he resisted. Garcia was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Doris Celestine Lively, 27, 2108 Monot Rd., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 2:10 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids.

Lively was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from the Jeanerette Police Department on an active warrant for her arrest. No bail has been set.

 

Genevia Leona Dauphine, 34, 317 Easy St., Franklin, La., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 6:25 pm for simple battery.

Dauphine was located at 317 Easy St. in Franklin on an active warrant for her arrest. Dauphine was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $2,500.

 

Abel Keller Garza, Jr., 29, 715 General Hodges St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 7:27 pm for reckless operation with an accident, driving under suspension, and no insurance.

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Hwy. 182 in Patterson in reference to a single-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Garza. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Garza was driving under suspension and had no insurance on the vehicle. Garza was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Paul Fulmer, Sr., 63, 1280 Delmar Ave., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 9:33 pm for aggravated assault.

Paul Dalton Fulmer, Jr., 24, 1280 Delmar Ave., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 9:53 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of justice.

Deputies were dispatched to a local business parking lot in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the victim who stated Fulmer Sr. had pulled a knife out during a verbal argument. The investigation led to a residence where drug paraphernalia belonging to Fulmer Jr. was found. Fulmer Jr. was issued a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019. Fulmer Sr. was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Sandra Rhodes Willis, 52, 213 Lincoln St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 11:30 pm for stop signs/yield signs and driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling on Hwy. 182 and Martin Luther King Blvd. in Baldwin when she observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Willis, who was driving under suspension. Willis was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Stacy Gerald Verdun, 49, 100 Lincoln Dr., Patterson, La., was arrested on August 13, 2019, at 12:16 am on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of violation of a protective order (x2), criminal trespass, and domestic abuse (child endangerment).

A K-9 deputy was dispatched to a residence in Bayou Vista in reference to a violation of a protective order. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Verdun. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Verdun held the active warrants for his arrest. Verdun was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Robert A. McDaniel, 37, 205 John St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on August 12, 2019, at 7:24 pm on the following charges:

  • Possession of schedule II drugs with the intent to distribute (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of schedule I drugs with the intent to distribute (heroin)
  • Possession of schedule II drugs with the intent to distribute (fentanyl)
  • Transactions involving drug proceeds
  • Violation of CDS law; drug-free zone (church and school)
  • Possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor

Narcotics detectives went to 205 John St. in Baldwin to execute a no-knock search warrant. Upon executing the warrant, contact was made with McDaniel. During the search of the residence, drugs and cash were located. McDaniel was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $318,000.
