Arrest Report- August 19, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 117 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Donavon Sentrell Washington, 23, 510 Labau St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on August 16, 2019, at 11:14 am for possession of schedule II drugs.

A deputy was dispatched to the 6th floor of the Franklin courthouse in reference to a subject with unidentified pills. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Washington and a deputy who stated that Washington had several pills in his pocket. During the investigation, the pills were identified as a schedule II drug. Washington was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Oliver Mitchell, Jr., 55, 2200 Business Center Dr., Parland, TX, was arrested on August 16, 2019, at 10:45 am on a warrant for criminal neglect of family.

A deputy made contact with Mitchell at the courtroom in the Franklin Courthouse in reference to an active warrant for his arrest. Mitchell was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Justin  Courvelle David Price, 30, 1332 Front Street, Morgan City, LA,  was arrested on August 16, 2019, at 10:46 am on a warrant for criminal neglect of family.

A deputy made contact with Price at the courtroom in the Franklin Courthouse in reference to an active warrant for his arrest. Price was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Price was released on a paid fine.

 

Irvin Jermaine Escort, 39, 281 Mallard Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2019, at 5:02 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, improper lane usage, and speeding.

A transportation deputy made contact with Escort when he transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency for booking.  No bail has been set.

 

Nicole Lauren Ledet, 33, 7903 Ledet Lane, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2019, at 6:27 am on a warrant for battery of a dating partner.

A booking deputy made contact with Ledet when she turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.  Ledet was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Jeremy Jamal Randle, 31, 800 Tenth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2019, at 10:01 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft.

A deputy was traveling on Irish Bend Road when he observed a vehicle without a license plate light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Randle, who had an active warrant for his arrest. Randle was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $568.

 

Montre Paul Bowser, 19, 106 Sixth St., Baldwin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 12:20 am for no headlights, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard in Baldwin when he observed a vehicle with only one operable headlight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Bowser. Through the stop, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located. Bowser was arrested and released on a summons to appear on November 8, 2019.

 

Christi Lovelle Jefferson, 45, 201 Railroad Avenue, Loreauville, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 1:49 am on two warrants for issuing worthless checks.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 182 near Highway 318 in the Jeanerette area when he observed a vehicle with an expired license plate. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Jefferson. Through the stop, the deputy was advised by dispatch that Jefferson had two active warrants. Jefferson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and was eventually released on a $500 bond.

 

Jesse M. Schick, 35, 315 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2019, at 6:57 pm on a warrant for criminal damage to property.

Deputies traveled to a residence on Tiffany Street in Patterson in reference to an active warrant for Schick. The warrant stems from an incident in which Schick damaged a vehicle at a local business in Bayou Vista. The deputy had been provided with information and tips concerning the situation that was sent in to the SMPSO via social media which led to securing the warrant. Schick was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and was eventually released on a $500 bond.

 

Gustavo Ruelas, 32, 223 Shady Oak Court, Houma, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 7:06 am for unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution, possession of a fraudulent document, careless operation with accident, and no driver’s license.

Deputies responded to a call of a crash on Barrow St. in Amelia.  Upon arrival, they made contact with Ruelas, who said he fell asleep while driving. Through the investigation, the deputies learned that Ruelas had no driver’s license and was in possession of a fraudulent passport. Ruelas was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Megan Pearson, 28, 800 Avenue J, Lake Charles, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 5:29 pm for the following charges:

  • Leaving the scene of an accident
  • Resisting an officer by giving false information
  • Resisting by force
  • No driver’s license
  • Careless operation with an accident
  • Possession of methamphetamines

A deputy responded to a call of a vehicle in a ditch in Amelia and the driver was leaving on foot.  Upon arrival, he made contact with a citizen who stated that the driver is walking nearby on Lake Palourde Road. The deputy traveled to the location and made contact with a female subject, identified as Pearson. Through the investigation, Pearson was established as the driver of the vehicle despite her giving false information to the deputy. Pearson was in possession of methamphetamine and resisted arrest. Pearson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was denied.  

 

Patrel Marie Jenkins, 44, 114 Oak Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 4:37 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of hydrocodone and possession/distribution/sale of a legend drug without a prescription.

A booking deputy made contact with Jenkins when a bondsman turned Jenkins in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on a bond surrender. Jenkins was booked and incarcerated. No bail has been set.   

 

Danny Mitchell, 39, 607 Rosebud Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 4:34 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of unlawful entry of a habited dwelling, disturbing the peace by appearing in an intoxicated condition, and criminal trespassing.

A deputy was at the Baldwin Police Department when he was approached by a subject needing a ride. The deputy recognized the man as Mitchell, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Mitchell was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.   

 

Corey Percle, 39, 203 Field Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 5:10 pm for no license plates, no driver’s license, possession of schedule II drugs, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, no insurance, and switched license plate.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 182 near Two Sister’s Lane when he observed a vehicle with a homemade license plate. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Percle. Through the stop, drugs were found in Percle’s possession. Percle was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was denied.   

 

Jameon Jontae Jack, 36, 1607 West Ibert Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 7:00 pm for attempted kidnapping, disturbing the peace by language, and simple assault.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Prairie Road North in Verdunville in reference to an attempted kidnapping. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who said that Jack attempted to remove a juvenile from the residence by intimidation and force. Sometime later, the deputy located Jack and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Subsequently, he was released on a $10,000 bond.    

 

Kevin Tyrone Loston, Jr., 26, 212 Easy Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 11:16 pm for possession of marijuana.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Easy Street when he observed a vehicle improperly parked in the oncoming lane.  The deputy made contact with the driver, Loston, and through the investigation, marijuana was found in his possession. Loston was arrested and released on a summons to appear on November 8, 2019.     

 

Tyrone Jevar Weber, 35, 101 Kerry Lane, Charenton, LA, was arrested on August 18, 2019, at 2:43 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting.

A deputy was assisting Franklin Police Department with dispersing a large crowd at a local business when he made contact with Weber, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Weber was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $1,000.

 

Danny M. Harris, 59, 325 Charlotte Drive, Patterson, LA, was arrested on August 18, 2019, at 9:00 pm for driving under suspension, license plate light, and no insurance.

A deputy was patrolling Highway 182 near Baldwin when he observed a vehicle with no operable license plate light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Harris. Through the stop, the deputy was advised by dispatch that the vehicle was no insured and Harris was operating with a suspended license. Harris was arrested and released on a summons to appear on November 8, 2019.
