Arrest Report- August 22, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Felicia Soto, 26, 306 Pershing St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on August 21, 2019, at 9:01 am for possession of schedule II drugs.

Jody Ray Cubbedge, Jr., 43, 622 Hwy. 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on August 21, 2019, at 9:01 am for switched license plate/stolen license plate, driving under suspension, and no insurance.

Deputies were patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 in Bayou Vista when they observed a vehicle cross over the solid white line. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Cubbedge, and the passenger, Soto. Dispatch advised deputies that Cubbedge was driving with a suspended driver’s license and he had no insurance on the vehicle. During the investigation, drugs belonging to Soto were located. Cubbedge was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019. Soto was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

William Earl Lowe, 38, 1306 Delmar Ave., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on August 21, 2019, at 4:57 pm on a warrant for sexual battery and molestation.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Bayou Vista in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Lowe. It was learned through dispatch that Lowe held the active warrant for his arrest through Hernando County, Florida. Lowe was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Jacob Paul Hidalgo, 37, 206 Utopia St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on August 22, 2019, at 12:23 am for driving on roadway laned for traffic and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A K-9 deputy was patrolling the area of Baldwin when he observed a vehicle cross over the centerline. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Hidalgo. During the investigation, drug paraphernalia was located. Hidalgo was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.
