Arrest Report- August 28, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Richard Lee Willoughby, 32, 217 Beham Ct., Thibodaux, La., was arrested on August 27, 2019, at 12:04 pm for expired license plate, expired or no inspection sticker, and driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 near Roderick St. in Morgan City when he observed a vehicle with an expired license plate. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Willoughby. During the stop, the deputy learned that Willoughby was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Willoughby was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on November 8, 2019.

 

Myles Anthony Morgan, 31, 1004 Front St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on August 27, 2019, at 7:01 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

Morgan was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency on an active warrant for his arrest. Bail has been set at $60,090.59.

 

Jonathan Humphrey, 38, 327 Cardinal St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on August 28, 2019, at 3:41 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family and the following charges:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Resisting an officer by giving false information
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Bench warrant for Disturbing the peace by fighting

Deputies were dispatched to a local business in Amelia in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the complainant and Humphrey. Through further investigation, the deputies were advised through dispatch the active warrants for Humphrey’s arrest.  During the arrest, drug paraphernalia was located on his person. Humphrey was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $19,409.77.
