Arrest Report- September 4, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Tammy Lynn Sheriden, 55, 457 Hunting Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on September 3, 2019, at 4:15 pm for hit and run driving, driving under suspension, and driving while intoxicated.

A deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Lagonda Rd. and Hwy. 182 in Bayou Vista in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with witnesses who stated the other vehicle involved left the scene.  Upon further investigation, it was learned Sheridan was the driver involved in the hit and run. The deputy made contact with Sheridan and subsequently conducted field sobriety in which she performed poorly. Sheridan was transported to the Berwick Police Department for chemical testing on the Intoxilizer 9000, which registered her blood alcohol content at 0.151g%. Sheridan was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $4,500.
