Arrest Report- September 6, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Dinora Elizabeth Palma-Ordona, 43, 416 Clarence Rd., New Iberia, La., was arrested on September 5, 2019, at 8:11 am for disturbing the peace by language.

A deputy was dispatched to Hwy. 90 West near Centerville in reference to a stalking complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant and Palma-Ordona. During the investigation, it was learned Palma-Ordona was yelling obscene language and threatening to cause a disturbance at the complainant’s workplace. Palma-Ordona was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on December 2, 2019.

 

Leroy James Bailey, 34, 223 Belanger St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on September 5, 2019, at 11:26 am for aggravated assault involving domestic violence, domestic abuse child endangerment, and attempted 1st-degree rape.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Garden City in reference to an animal cruelty complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated he heard Bailey arguing with the victim and it became physical. During the investigation, Bailey was developed as the suspect in the assault. Bailey was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Chad Michael Carmouche, 39, 502 Justa St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on September 5, 2019, at 11:47 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to pay registration fee and failure to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator.

Deputies made contact with Carmouche at his residence on the active warrant for his arrest after receiving information of his whereabouts. Carmouche was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set. 

 

Matthew James Anslum, 30, 518 Martin Luther King St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on September 5, 2019, at 11:52 am on a warrant for no insurance and hit and run.

A deputy patrolling the area of Baldwin observed Anslum outside a residence and made contact with him. The deputy was aware of the active warrant for Anslum’s arrest. Anslum was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking, Bail has been set at $1,250.

 

Cameron Michael Guidry, 21, 106 Comeaux St., Pierre Part, La., was arrested on September 5, 2019, at 12:34 pm for expired/no inspection sticker and driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 near North Frontage Rd. in Amelia when he observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Guidry. During the stop, the deputy was advised by dispatch that Guidry was operating with a suspended license. Guidry was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on December 2, 2019.

 

Brittany Nicole Burbante, 29, 3033 Leslie Drive, Morgan City, La., was arrested on September 5, 2019, at 8:50 pm on two warrants for failure to appear for drug court on the charges of possession of heroin and theft of $5,000 or more but less than $25,000.

Burbante was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from the Livingston Parish Detention Center on the active warrants for her arrest. Bail has been set at $200,000.
