St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Trevor Paul Dubroc, 29, 2004 Stagg Ave., Basile, La., was arrested on September 12, 2019, at 6:50 am for driving under suspension, possession of schedule II drugs, and possession of marijuana.
A deputy was dispatched to the area of Hwy. 90 in the Patterson area in reference to a reckless driver. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Dubroc, and was advised by dispatch that he was driving under suspension. During the stop, drugs were found. Dubroc was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
Garland Joseph Romero II, 32, 2505 Hwy. 182, Patterson, La., was arrested on September 12, 2019, at 1:35 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension (x2) and contempt of court.
A deputy was dispatched to the area of the Patterson levee between Calumet and Patterson in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Romero and it was learned Romero held the active warrants for his arrest. Romero was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Tyler Slate Hebert, 29, 102 Sydney Jo Lane, Berwick, La., was arrested on September 13, 2019, at 2:55 am for the following charges:
- Improper lane use
- Obstruction of justice
- Possession of schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
- Possession of schedule I (heroin) with intent to distribute
- Possession of legend drug without prescription (pantoprazole)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Detectives with the SMPSO Narcotics Section were patrolling the area of Franklin/Garden City when they observed a vehicle cross over the fog line on Highway 90 near Garden City. The detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Hebert. During the stop, drugs were found. Hebert was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
