Arrest Report- September 19, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Erick J. Haisley, 28, 1110 Plantation Teche Dr. #12, Franklin, La., was arrested on September 18, 2019, at 9:09 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of speeding, driving under suspension, and criminal neglect of family.

A deputy received an anonymous tip of the location of Haisley who held the active warrants for his arrest. The deputy made contact with Haisley at his residence and he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $7,606.74.

 

Tyrone Len Freeman, 47, 3219 Hwy. 87, Franklin, La., was arrested on September 18, 2019, at 11:31 am on a warrant for theft of a motor vehicle and resisting arrest or officer.

Deputies located Freeman at 3219 Hwy. 87 in Franklin on an active warrant for his arrest. Freeman was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  

 

Kerry Absher, 18, 108 Jordin Lane, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on September 18, 2019, at 2:03 pm for possession of marijuana.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 near Sun Rd. in Bayou Vista when he observed a vehicle traveling over the posted speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and two passengers, one identified as Absher. During the stop, drugs were found. Absher was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on December 2, 2019.

 

Ray Vidos, 60, 1337 Westside Blvd. #134, Houma, La., was arrested on September 18, 2019, at 2:22 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of violation of a protective order.

Vidos was located at the Terrebonne Parish Jail and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on an active warrant for his arrest. No bail has been set.

 

Christopher Trosclair, 46, 735 Chetta Lane, Morgan City, La., was arrested on September 18, 2019, at 6:33 pm for expired or no inspection sticker, expired license plate, and driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 near Progress Lane in Amelia when he observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Trosclair. The deputy was advised by dispatch that Trosclair was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Trosclair was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on December 2, 2019.

 

Seth Aurelius Kidder, 39, 118 Hebert Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on September 18, 2019, at 9:37 pm for improper lane usage, no headlights, and possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug-free zone.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Chatsworth Rd. in Franklin when he observed a vehicle with an inoperable headlight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Kidder. During the stop, drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle. Kidder was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on December 2, 2019.

 

Deirdre Louise Martin, 45, 724 Prairie Rd. North, Franklin, La., was arrested on September 19, 2019, at 3:31 am on the following charges:

  • Driving left of center
  • Resisting arrest or officer
  • driving under suspension
  • Possession of schedule II drugs with the intent to distribute (methamphetamines)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Introduction of contraband into a penal institute

Deputies were patrolling the area of Hwy. 317 in Centerville when they observed a vehicle cross the centerline. The deputies initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Martin. The deputies were advised by dispatch that Martin was driving under suspension. During the arrest, Martin resisted deputies. Martin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Through the booking process, drugs were located on her person. No bail has been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Christopher Poole, 51, 800 Park St. Apt. #6, Patterson, La., was arrested on September 18, 2019, at 9:35 pm on the following charges:

  • Possession of schedule II drugs with the intent to distribute (crack cocaine)
  • Manufacturing of schedule II drugs (crack cocaine)
  • Possession of schedule II drugs (oxycodone)
  • Possession of schedule IV drugs (tramadol)
  • Transactions involving drug proceeds
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Narcotic detectives with the SMPSO and the Patterson Police Department conducted a search warrant at 800 Park St. Apt. #6 in Patterson and made contact with Poole. During the search of the residence, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and $7,538 in cash were located. Poole was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
