Arrest Report, October 4, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Shamus Michael Dardeau, 44, 525 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 7:13 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of improper lane usage, driving under suspension, and possession of marijuana.

A deputy went to a residence on Clarke Road in reference to locating Dardeau, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Dardeau and advised him of the active warrant. Dardeau was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $500.

 

Juvenile male, 17, Sorrel, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 5:01 pm for simple battery.

A deputy was dispatched to a location in Jeanerette in reference to an ungovernable juvenile. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim who stated that the juvenile had struck the victim. The juvenile was arrested and released to his guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Willie John Louis, 32, 400 Ira Street, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 2:44 pm for possession of marijuana and improper lane usage.

A deputy patrolling the area of Highway 182 in the Jeanerette area observed a vehicle cross the fog line several times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Louis. Through the stop, marijuana was found. Louis was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 10, 2020.

 

Michael Wayne Stewart, 58, 19006 Highway 16, Amite, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 4:03 pm for criminal trespass.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on St. Peter Road in Jeanerette in reference to a trespasser returning to the property. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated that Stewart had been to the property before and told not to return but had returned to the property. A short time later, the deputy located Stewart on Canal Road and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $1,000.

 

Dwayne Allen Broussard II, 25, 105 Faith Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 9:47 am on two bench warrants on the charges of battery-aggravated and false imprisonment.

Ryan James Bowman, 24, 150 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 9:18 am on a bench warrant on the charge of battery-aggravated.

Christopher Patterson, 20, 212 Southeast Blvd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 4:55 pm on a bench warrant on the charge of battery-simple.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Jupiter Street in Bayou Vista in reference to locating Bowman and Broussard who held active warrants for their arrest. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Broussard and Bowman and advised them of the warrants. They were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Patterson came to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and turned himself in on the active warrant for his arrest and was booked. Patterson was released on a $1,000 bond. Broussard was released on a $4,000 bond. Bowman was released on a $3,000 bond.

 

Dayton Clark, 22, 158 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 6:15 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deondre Richardson, 22, 170 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 6:15 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy on patrol in the Amelia area received credible information that Richardson and Clark were in possession of drugs. The deputy made contact with Richardson and Clark, and through the investigation drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in their possession. They were arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 10, 2020.

 

Juvenile male, 14, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 6:37 pm for ungovernable juvenile.

A deputy at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office headquarters was advised of a walk-in complaint. The deputy made contact with the complainant who gave information regarding an ungovernable juvenile. The juvenile was arrested and released to his guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

K9 DIVISION

Dontrell Damone Colbert, 23, 200 Lockley Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2019, at 9:31 pm for possession of marijuana.

A K9 patrolling the area of Baldwin observed a vehicle veer off the road, nearly striking a subject riding a bike. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, later identified as Colbert. Through the investigation marijuana belonging to Colbert was found. Colbert was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 10, 2020.
