Arrest Report, October 21, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 103 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Nailah Lynette Williams, 27, 1234 SW Evangeline Thruway, Lafayette, La, was arrested on October 18, 2019 at 4:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. 

Williams was located at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the above-mentioned warrant.  Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Glenn Cornell Calloway, 48, 5288 North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, La, was arrested on October 18, 2019 at 8:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. 

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 182 in Morgan City.  He made contact with the driver, Calloway.  It was learned that Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office held active warrants for Calloway's arrest.  Calloway was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set. 

 

John Anthony Boyd, Sr., 50, 111 Hogan Lane, Franklin, La, was arrested on October 19, 2019 at 10:27 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. 

A deputy was stationary on Irish Bend Rd. when he observed a vehicle traveling without a license plate.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Boyd. Through the stop, it was learned that there was an active warrant for Boyd's arrest.  Boyd was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $125.00.

 

Brandon Michael LeBlanc, 33, 384 Oregon St., Berwick, La, was arrested on October 19, 2019 at 10:54 pm for brake lights required, possession of schedule III drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

A deputy was patrolling Highway 90 in Bayou Vista when he observed a vehicle traveling without an operable brake light.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, LeBlanc.  Through the stop, drugs and drug paraphernalia belonging to LeBlanc were located.  LeBlanc was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $2,500.

 

Christopher Charles Burgess, 44, 8200 Highway 182, Franklin, La, was arrested on October 19, 2019 at 1:17 am on the following charges:

Battery of a dating partner
Resisting an arrest or officer
Entry/remaining on premises after forbidden
Simple arson
 

A deputy was dispatched to a business on Highway 182 in Centerville in reference to a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated that Burgess attempted to place a pillow that was on fire over her face.  The complainant further stated that Burgess had poured gas inside the residence and attempted to ignite it.  Deputies went to the residence and the suspect was located outside.  He attempted to flee but was apprehended.  Burgess was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set. 

 

Chane Anthony Favors, 44, 1517 Plum St., Patterson, La, was arrested on October 19, 2019 at 2:03 am on the following charges:

Bicycle equipment required for night operation
Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
Resisting an officer by giving false information
Possession of a CDS in a drug free zone


A deputy was dispatched to Grace Street in the Siracusa area in reference to shots fired.  The deputy made contact with Favors who was riding a bicycle in the area without proper lighting.  Through the stop, the deputy located drugs on Favors person.  Favors provided a false name to the deputy.  The location of the stop was less than 2,000 feet of a church.  It was also learned that Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for Favors arrest.  Favors was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $4,750.

 

Stephen Horace Minton, 61, 8635 Matthews Lane, Magnolia, TX, was arrested on October 19, 2019, at 2:19 pm on the following charges:

Driving on roadway laned for traffic
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Open container


A deputy was dispatched to Highway 90 in reference to a reckless vehicle.  The deputy located the vehicle, which was driving in the center of the roadway.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Minton.  Through the stop, the deputy located alcohol and drugs in the vehicle.  Minton was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $2,500.

 

Constance L. Haughton, 30, 124 Alvin St., Napoleonville, La, was arrested on October 19, 2019 at 11:24 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting. 

Ashley S. Ducre, 28, 642 Terrebonne St., Morgan City, La, was arrested on October 19, 2019 at 11:24 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting. 

 

A deputy was dispatched to a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista in reference to a fight in progress.  Upon arrival, it was learned that Haughton and Ducre were involved in a fistic encounter.  Haughton and Ducre were arrested and both released on summons to appear on January 10, 2020.

 

Donovantae Lamarcus Ozenne, 24, 427 Robertson St., New Iberia, La, was arrested on October 20, 2019 at 11:21 pm for procedures on approach of an authorized emergency vehicle and no driver's license.

A deputy was responding to a complaint travelling on Highway 90 with overhead lights and sirens activated.  A vehicle moved to the left lane of travel and applied its brakes then moved towards the left median, stopping partially in the roadway obstructing passage.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Ozenne.  Through the stop, it was learned that Ozenne did not have a valid driver's license.  Ozenne was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $750.

 

Cherelle Rener, 35, 600 Pellerin St. Jeanerette, La, was arrested on October 20, 2019 at 2:15 am for Careless Operation. 

 A deputy was stationary on Ralph Darden Parkway when he observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Rener.  Rener was issued a summons to appear in court on January 10, 2020.

 

Lois Marie Thomas, 58, 130 Bray Lane, Franklin, La, was arrested on October 20, 2019 at 7:52 am on the following charges:

Criminal damage to property
Simple Battery
Resisting arrest of officer
Disturbing the peace by language
 

A deputy was dispatched to Bray Lane in reference to a disturbance.  While deputies were conducting an investigation, Thomas refused to refrain from using language.  Thomas was placed under arrest.  While being transported to the patrol unit, Thomas spat on a victim then began kicking the left rear window, damaging it.  Thomas was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $6,000.

 

James Crosby, 53, 2136 Highway 83, Franklin, La, was arrested on October 20, 2019 at 9:10 am on two warrants for failure to appear and probation violation. 

A deputy traveling on Highway 182 in Baldwin when he observed Crosby who he knew held active warrants. After confirming the warrants through dispatch, the deputy made contact with Crosby and advised him of the active warrants.  Crosby was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Jules Anthony Druilhet, Jr., 45, 1441 Mitchell St, Lot 13, Franklin, La, was arrested on October 20, 2019 at 1:22 pm on a warrant charging him with the following charges:

Domestic abuse battery by strangulation
Aggravated battery
False imprisonment
Failure to appear


A deputy working in booking made contact with Druilhet when he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency.  Druilhet was booked and incarcerated. No bond has been set.

 

Miranda Jean Topham, 38, 1311 Saturn Rd., Lot 1, Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on October 20, 2019 at 7:45 pm for theft and sale, distribution or possession of legend drug without prescription. 

A deputy was dispatched to a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista in reference to a shoplifting complaint.  Witnesses observed Topham swap price tags on items in the store, then fail to scan some items at checkout.  The deputy located medication on Topham for which she did not have a prescription.  Topham was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Derek Wayne Neville, 45, 996 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, La, was arrested on October 21, 2019 at 12:25 am for Domestic abuse child endangerment. 

A deputy was dispatched to a medical facility regarding a battery.  The deputy made contact with the victim who stated she had been struck several times by the suspect.  Deputies made contact with the suspect.  It was learned that there were small children present in the home at the time of the incident.  Neville was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $3,500.

 

K9 DIVISION

 

Amanda Nicole Martin, 38, 150 Mercury Rd., Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on October 21, 2019 at 12:34 am for the following charges:

Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of marijuana
Possession of synthetic cannabinoids
Possession of methamphetamines
Possession of controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone


A deputy was patrolling the area of Southeast Blvd. when he observed a vehicle travelling without an operable license plate lights.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with Martin, who was a passenger in the vehicle.  It was learned that Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for Martin's arrest.  K-9 Jace arrived on the scene and conducted an open air sniff on the vehicle.  K-9 Jace positively alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle.  Upon placing Martin under arrest, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located.  Martin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.
