Arrest Report, October 25, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Charles Walter Patterson, III, 37, 18711 Red Adlerict, Magnolia TX, was arrested on October 24, 2019 at 3:51 pm for possession of marijuana, resisting arrest or officer, battery on a police officer and following too close. 

 

A deputy traveling on Highway 90 in the Centerville area observed a vehicle following too close.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Patterson.  Through the stop, drugs were located.  Patterson committed a battery on the deputy and attempted to flee the area.  Patterson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $7,750.

 

Christopher Lynn Haynes, 36, 101 Willow Bend Drive, Patterson, La, was arrested on October 25, 2019 at 9:58 pm for license plate required, no record of insurance and possession of marijuana. 

 

John Frank Sanford, 50, 1310 Second Street, A, Morgan City, La, was arrested at 10:33 pm for possession of methamphetamines and open container.

 

A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle traveling without an operable license plate light.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Haynes, and the passenger, Sanford.  Through the stop, drugs and an open alcoholic beverage were located. Haynes could not provide proof of insurance on the vehicle.  Haynes was released on a summons to appear on January 10, 2020.  Sanford was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Patricia Arceneaux, 48, 122 Country Lane, Lafayette, La, was arrested on October 25, 2019 at 12:41 am for driving under suspension and license plate lights required. 

 

A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle traveling without an operable license plate light.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Arceneaux.  Through the stop it was learned that Arceneaux had a suspended driver's license.  Arceneaux was released on a summons to appear on January 10, 2020.
