St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 31 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Treyvon Mikel Burrell, 20, 415 Park Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 2:09 am on a warrant through the Thibodaux Police Department for principal to attempted 2nd-degree murder (2 counts) and obstruction of justice.

A deputy made contact with Burrell at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the warrant. Burrell was booked and later transferred to another agency.

 

Daniel Michael Elliott, 20, 115 Cane Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 6, 2019, at 7:56 pm for disturbing the peace-intoxicated, threatening a public official, and obstruction of highway.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a subject who had been walking in the middle of the roadway and was acting suspiciously.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Elliott.  Through the investigation, Elliott became loud and threatened the deputy. Elliott was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
