Arrest Report, November 8, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Byron Bernard Williams, 42, 465 Verdun Lane, Centerville, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 8:04 am for battery of a dating partner.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Verdun Lane in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a victim who stated that Williams had grabbed and gotten physical with the victim. The deputy made contact with Williams and after completing the investigation, he transported Williams to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Williams was later released on a $3,000 bond.

 

Keith Jamall Tillman, Jr., 23, 523 Henry Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 11:09 am for resisting arrest or officer and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.  

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant and through the investigation, Tillman was developed as the suspect in the theft. Dispatch advised the deputy that Tillman also held an active warrant for his arrest. Contact was made with Tillman and he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has not been set.

 

Shawn Michael Thompson, 42, 103 Lambert Lane, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 1:24 pm for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and disturbing the peace-intoxicated.  

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Bayou Vista in reference to a complaint of unauthorized entry. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant and Thompson. During the investigation, Thompson began to yell and was subsequently transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Cory James Leblanc, 38, 133 Lagonda Lane, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 5:16 pm on a warrant for theft.

A deputy went to a residence on Lagonda Lane in reference to Leblanc who held an active warrant for his arrest. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Leblanc. He was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.

 

Brent H. Parks, 51, 105 Trevino Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 7:18 pm for domestic abuse battery.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated that Parks had become physical with him during an altercation. The deputy located Parks at a residence in Trevino St. and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and was later released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Tananna Taneial Polidore, 41, 1302 Tarleton Street, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 7:18 pm for possession of schedule I drugs.

Willie James Hayes, Jr., 39, 710 Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 7:18 pm for reckless operation no accident.

A deputy patrolling Highway 90 West near Calumet observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Hayes, and a passenger, Polidore.  Through the investigation, drugs were found in Polidore's possession. Hayes was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020. Polidore was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Jaye Paul Chadwick Bliss, 30, 1915 River Road, Berwick, LA, was arrested on November 7, 2019, at 8:37 pm for criminal damage to property-simple.

A corrections deputy observed an incarcerated subject damage a cell. The inmate was charged accordingly and remains incarcerated.
