Arrest Report, November 18, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 127 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Michael Warren Hickman, 33, 301 Grizzaffi Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 15, 2019, at 7:17 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 90 East near Ricohoc to assist a Patterson P.D. officer who had observed a vehicle swerving into the median. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Hickman. During the stop, dispatch advised the deputy that Hickman's license was suspended. Hickman was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.  

 

Nicholas Paul Daigle, 24, 719 Clark Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 15, 2019, at 7:26 pm for battery of a dating partner.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Clark Road in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke to a complainant who stated that Daigle and another person were in an altercation. The deputy made contact with Daigle and after questioning him the deputy transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Daigle was later released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Anthony Lee Rink, Jr., 46, 3252 Third Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on November 16, 2019, at 9:18 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of neglect of family.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 90 East near Cameron when he observed a vehicle cross over the left shoulder line. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Rink. Through the stop, dispatch advised the deputy that Rink held an active warrant for his arrest. Rink was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $1,593.30.

 

Russell Walker, Sr., 56, 455 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, LA, was arrested on November 16, 2019, at 2:26 pm for domestic abuse battery.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Verdun Lane in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Walker and learned that Walker had pushed another person during an altercation. Walker was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Walker was later released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Samuel Jason Lacoste, 41, 129 Natalie Lane, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 16, 2019, at 4:38 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple burglary.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Natalie Lane in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a complainant who stated Lacoste was making gestures at his son and he wanted Lacoste to have no contact with him. The deputy made contact with Lacoste and while speaking to Lacoste, dispatch advised the deputy that he held an active warrant for his arrest. Lacoste was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail has been set.

 

Chad Evans Gros, 45, 1002 Dawn Drive, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 16, 2019, at 7:27 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled and operating a vehicle with improper tail lights.

A transportation deputy made contact with Gros when he transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency for booking.  Gros was later released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Wilbert O. Knight, 72, 2209 Federal Avenue, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 16, 2019, at 9:33 pm for theft.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Amelia to assist another deputy with a theft investigation. Through the investigation, Knight was developed as the suspect. Deputies located Knight in a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle and questioned him. The property was recovered and returned to the owner, and Knight was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.  

 

Charleen Frances Perez, 56, 6000 Norris Road, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on November 17, 2019, at 2:20 am for possession of methamphetamines and no license plate light.

A deputy observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 90 West in Bayou Vista with no visible license plate lights. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Perez. During the stop, drugs belonging to Perez were located. Perez was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Gayle Rogers Robinson III, 41, 4540 Highway 182, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 17, 2019, at 5:33 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was in a parking lot of a local business in Bayou Vista when he observed Robinson get into a vehicle. The deputy was aware that Robinson's license was suspended. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with Robinson. Robinson was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.  

 

Brian Lemon Keith, 37, 210 Batiste Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 15, 2019, at 8:36 am on an Iberia Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated burglary, use of weapons or dangerous instrument, and illegal carrying of weapon in a firearm free zone.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Fredricks Lane in Baldwin in reference to locating Keith, who held an active warrant for his arrest. The deputy made contact with Keith and advised him of the active warrant. Keith was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and is being held for another agency.

 

Dillon Lee, 18, 308 Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 17, 2019, at 9:36 pm for possession of marijuana and improper lane usage.

A deputy was patrolling Irish Bend Road near Franklin when he observed a vehicle cross the centerline. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Lee. Through the stop, marijuana belonging to Lee was located. Lee was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.  

 

Rasheika Keandre Nash, 27, 1029 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 17, 2019, at 11:56 pm for possession of marijuana and driving under suspension.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Grace Street in reference to a medical complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Nash and another person who were departing to take a person to the hospital. The deputy escorted the vehicle to the hospital and upon arrival at the hospital, the deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Nash was found to have marijuana inside the vehicle. Nash was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.  

 

Leilani Elise Duffy, 18, 315 Duke Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 18, 2019, at 2:56 am for possession of schedule I synthetic cannabinoids, driver must be licensed, and no headlights.

Tucker Guidry, 18, 315 Duke Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 18, 2019, at 2:56 am for possession of schedule I synthetic cannabinoids.

A deputy was traveling on Brashear Avenue near Federal when he observed a vehicle without an operable headlight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Duffy, and a passenger, Guidry. Through the stop, the deputy learned that Duffy had no driver's license and both Duffy and Guidry were in possession of synthetic cannabinoids. Duffy and Guidry were arrested and each released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.
