Arrest Report- December 2, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 120-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 120 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jose Juan Cerritos, 40, 140 West Syls Lane, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 27, 2019, at 9:30 pm for emanation of excessive sound or noise.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on West Syls Lane in reference to a loud music complaint.  This was the same address that other deputies had been called to on several occasions for the same complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Cerritos who was the resident. Cerritos was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.

 

Palmer Cox IV, 54, 747 Oregon Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on November 28, 2019, at 1:49 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of use of headlights.

A booking deputy made contact with Cox when he transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency.  Cox was booked on the active warrant and incarcerated. Cox was subsequently released on a completed sentence.

 

Joey Viltz, 54, 2461 Highway 318, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 28, 2019, at 2:10 pm for disturbing the peace-violent manner.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Highway 318 in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated that Viltz was causing a disturbance. After the investigation, Viltz was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $250.

 

Leslie Paul Johnson, 25, 109 Judy Lane, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2019, at 7:32 pm for resisting arrest or officer, possession of firearm by a felon, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession or firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a convicted felon.

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Dianna Lane in Patterson in reference to shots fired in the area.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who stated what happened and soon after, the deputies made contact with Johnson who fled on foot. Johnson was apprehended and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Koby Christopher Blair, 21, 127 Marcel Drive, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 28, 2019, at 7:40 pm for possession of marijuana.

Deputies were patrolling Highway 90 Eastbound in Bayou Vista when they observed a vehicle with an obstructed license plate. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Blair. During the stop, marijuana was found on his person. Blair was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.

 

David Wayne Hawkins, 60, 1339 Joseph Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2019, at 7:49 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of pit bulls regulated.

A deputy made contact with Hawkins, who held an active warrant for his arrest while patrolling the area of James Street in Morgan City. Hawkins was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $100.

 

Terry Lee Toups, 59, 504 Brashear Avenue, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2019, at 2:04 pm on active warrants for failure to obtain special identification card (sex offender), failure to provide notification as a sex offender or child predator, and failure to pay annual sex offender registration fee.

A booking deputy made contact with Toups when he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Toups was later released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Jerome Williams, 42, 305 2nd Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2019, at 2:29 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated, resisting officer or arrest, and on an active warrant for the charge of battery of a dating partner.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Columbus Avenue in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who gave information concerning the situation. The deputy made contact with Williams who was involved in the disturbance and also held an active warrant for his arrest. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Louis Gerard Green, 27, 124 Sager Brown Road, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2019, at 9:37 pm for possession of marijuana and driving under suspension.

Deputies were traveling on Middle Road in Bayou Vista when they observed a vehicle with no operable license plate light. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Green. During the stop, marijuana belonging to Green was found and dispatch advised the deputies that Green's license was suspended. Green was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.

 

Michael Lee Jennings, 61, 913 Tabb Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2019, at 11:12 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charge of simple criminal trespass.

Deputies went to a residence on Egle Street in reference to Jennings, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Jennings and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Michael Jude Broussard, 33, 401 Rosebud Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 9:34 am on a Lafayette Parish warrant for failure to appear for the charges of recall upon personal service, contempt fine, and battery of a dating partner.

Amanda Maria Rudolph, 32, 300 Orphans Home Road, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 9:40 am on a Lafayette Parish warrant for failure to appear for the charge of civil non-support.

Deputies were investigating an unrelated complaint when they were contacted by a subject who stated that Broussard was at her house and she wanted him gone.  The deputies made contact with Broussard and Rudolph at the residence and were advised by dispatch that they both held warrants through Lafayette Parish. Broussard and Rudolph were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Both are being held for transfer to another agency.

 

Tyler Andrew Wilson, 47, 153 Nini Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 10:09 am on a Lafayette Parish warrant for failure to appear for the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rena Kathleen Wilson, 40, 153 Nini Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 10:09 am for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy went to a residence on Nini Lane in Bayou Vista in reference to T. Wilson, who held an active warrant through Lafayette Parish. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with T. Wilson and advised him of the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy also made contact with R. Wilson and during the investigation drug paraphernalia belonging to R. Wilson was found. R. Wilson was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020. T. Wilson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. He is being held for transfer to another agency.

 

Frankie B. Sauce, 37, 1811 M Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 10:19 pm for possession of marijuana and driving on roadway lined for traffic.

A deputy traveling on Road Cypress Road observed a vehicle cross the centerline. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Sauce. During the stop, marijuana belonging to Sauce was found. Sauce was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.

 

Kaleb Shane Calloway, 23, 403 Hawkins Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 12:00 pm for the following charges:

  • possession of marijuana
  • possession of schedule IV drugs
  • possession of synthetic cannabinoids
  • resisting officer or arrest
  • driving on roadway lined for traffic

Koby Christopher Blair, 21, 127 Marcel Drive, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 12:00 pm for possession of marijuana.

A deputy was patrolling Highway 90 Eastbound in Bayou Vista when he observed a vehicle cross the solid white line. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Calloway, and a passenger, identified as Blair. During the stop, drugs belonging to Blair and Calloway were found. Blair was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020. Calloway was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Calloway was later released on a $6,000 bond.

 

Lorenzo Paul Harris, 34, 520 Henkle Street, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 1:28 pm for possession of schedule I with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, and on an active warrant through Iberia Parish on the charge of simple battery.

A deputy was traveling in the area of Martin Luther King and Bollard Streets in Baldwin when he observed a male subject begin to run when he saw the patrol unit.  The suspect was later located with the assistance of the Baldwin Police Department.  During the investigation, the deputy was advised by dispatch that the subject, Harris, held an active warrant through Iberia Parish. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were also found on his person. Harris was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has not been set.

 

Austin Michael Hack, 22, 212 Ginger Street, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 8:11 pm on the following charges:

  • illegal possession of stolen firearms (3 counts)
  • possession of marijuana
  • possession of drug paraphernalia
  • possession of a firearm-felon
  • maximum speed limit

Devin Devon Anderson, 19, 1408 West Willow Street, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 8:11 pm on the charges of illegal possession of stolen firearms (3 counts) and possession of synthetic cannabinoids.

Daniel Key, Jr., 18, 212 Royal Street, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 8:11 pm on the charges of illegal possession of stolen firearms (3 counts).

Ryan Bernard, 19, 301 Grossie Drive, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 8:11 pm on the charges of illegal possession of stolen firearms (3 counts).

Tahj Andre James, 19, 101 Locobia Street, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 8:11 pm on the charges of illegal possession of stolen firearms (3 counts) and possession of marijuana.

Dylan Ozene, 19, 125 Sternberg Drive, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 8:11 pm on the charges of illegal possession of stolen firearms (3 counts) and possession of marijuana.

A deputy was sitting stationary on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista running radar when he observed a vehicle traveling over the posted speed limit. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Hack, and five passengers. Through the investigation, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and firearms were found. An NCIC check of the weapons showed that the weapons had been reported as stolen through several agencies. Hack, Anderson, Key, Bernard, James, and Ozene were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has not been set.

 

Delwin Kenshawn Sylvester, 33, 298 Brocato Lane, Raceland, LA, was arrested on November 30, 2019, at 10:00 pm for driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Barrow Street in Amelia when he observed a vehicle with a headlight that wasn't lit. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Sylvester. During the stop, dispatch advised that Sylvester's license was suspended. Sylvester was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.

 

Johnny Sam Jr., 48, 109 8th Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2019, at 2:01 am on a warrant for failure to appear for the charge of failure to register as a sex offender or child predator and failure to possess a special ID card- sex offender.

A booking deputy made contact with Sam when a bounty hunter turned Sam in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on a bond surrender. Sam was arrested and booked on the active warrant. No bail has been set.

 

Malcomb Jerome Williams III, 20, 203 Trevino Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2019, at 2:20 am on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of simple burglary and simple damage to property.

Deputies were traveling east on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista when they observed a vehicle cross the fog line and continue to drive on the shoulder. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Williams. During the stop, dispatch advised the deputies that Williams held an active warrant for his arrest. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Stephine Dee Babin, 39, 3806 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2019, at 11:52 am on three active Terrebonne Parish warrants on the following charges:

  • unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling
  • theft (3 counts)
  • domestic abuse battery
  • disturbing the peace by fighting
  • possession of drug paraphernalia

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Lake Palourde Road in reference to Babin, who held active warrants through Terrebonne Parish. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Babin and advised her of the active warrants. Babin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and is being held for another agency.

 

Teddra Renee Dauphine, 26, 2790 Rodeo Road, Abbeville, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2019, at 1:07 pm on the following charges:

  • no child restraint (2 counts)
  • switched license plate/stolen license plate
  • no record of insurance
  • driving under suspension
  • driving on right side of road-exceptions

A deputy was dispatched to Highway 90 West in the area of Shady Side for a reckless driver complaint.  The deputy observed the vehicle driving over the speed limit and conducted a traffic stop. Through the stop, dispatch advised the deputy that the driver Dauphine's license was suspended. Dauphine was arrested and released on a summons to appear on February 7, 2020.
