St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 29 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Shannon Wright, 29, 116 Pecan Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2019, at 10:42 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of telephone harassment.

A deputy was handling a complaint at a residence on Cypress Lane when he made contact with Wright, who held an active warrant for her arrest. Wright was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail has been set.

 

Dwayne Cordell Francis, 31, 616 Louis Street, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2019, at 3:42 am on an active warrant from Iberia Parish.

A deputy was working a vehicle crash in Bayou Vista when he made contact with Francis, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Francis was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and was subsequently transferred to another agency.

 

Terry James Menard, 35, 216 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2019, at 7:43 am on an active warrant from Lafayette Parish on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule IV drugs, possession of a legend drug without prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was conducting a business walk-through in Bayou Vista when he made contact with Menard, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Menard was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and is being held for another agency.

 

Edmond Ray Robertson, 62, 207 Happy Acres Road, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2019, at 10:08 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Baldwin when he observed a vehicle fail to give a proper signal when turning.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Robertson. Through the stop, the deputy was advised by dispatch that Robertson held an active warrant for his arrest. Robertson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and bail was set at $1,581.41.

 

Harol Demon Bias, 29, 211 Jones Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2019, at 12:29 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

-        Driving under suspension (2 counts)

-        Speeding

-        Expired license plate

-        Improper lane usage

A deputy on patrol made contact with Bias, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Bias was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and subsequently released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Blake Michael Dinger, 26, 330 Neptune Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2019, at 12:46 am on a Morgan City warrant for violation of terms of parole.

A deputy on patrol made contact with Dinger, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Dinger was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and subsequently transferred to another agency.

 

Eugene Lee Green V, 40, 8600 Highway 182, Centerville, LA, was arrested on December 4, 2019, at 2:38 am on the following charges:

• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Driving under suspension
• Turning movements and signals required

A deputy was patrolling the area of Northwest Blvd. in Franklin when he observed a vehicle fail to give a proper signal when making a turn. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Green. During the stop, dispatch advised the deputy that Green's license was suspended. Green was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
