Arrest Report, December 13, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jarron Granger, 31, 507 Dangerfield Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 12, 2019, at 4:57 pm for battery-simple.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a person who stated that Granger had struck another person. Granger was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Granger was subsequently released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Juvenile male, 17, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on December 12, 2019, at 7:34 am for ungovernable juvenile and resisting arrest or officer.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Bayou Vista in reference to a juvenile who refused to go to school. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the juvenile male sitting in a vehicle. The juvenile refused to get out of the vehicle. Eventually, the juvenile exited the vehicle and was taken into custody. The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Branch Office for processing. He was later released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

T'Jon Hamilton Declouet, 24, 304 Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 12, 2019, at 11:05 pm on the following charges:

-        Aggravated flight from officer

-        Obstruction of highway-aggravated

-        Driving under suspension

-        No insurance

-        No license plate light

-        Switched license plate/stolen license plate

-        Reckless operation no accident

-        Obstruction of justice-aggravated

A deputy was stationary in Franklin when he observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 with no license plate light. As the deputy pulled out behind the vehicle to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle turned onto another street and began to travel at a high rate of speed. The vehicle eventually came to a stop on Irish Bend Road where the deputy made contact with the driver, Declouet. Through the stop, dispatch advised that Declouet's license was suspended and the license plate was canceled and belonged to a different vehicle. Declouet was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Lisa Norman Milton, 38, 421 Calhoun Street, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on December 13, 2019, at 1:58 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family as well as on the following new charges:

-        License plate lights required

-        Driving under suspension

-        Possession of marijuana

-        Obstruction of justice- aggravated

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 87 when he observed a vehicle traveling with no license plate light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Milton. During the stop, the deputy located marijuana and was advised by dispatch that Milton's license was suspended and she also held an active warrant for her arrest. Milton was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail has been set.  

 

Laurie Janell Pritchett, 37, 107 Church Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 13, 2019, at 3:11 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was traveling east on Highway 182 in Morgan City when he observed a vehicle traveling with no license plate light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Pritchett. During the stop, the deputy was advised by dispatch that Pritchett's license was suspended. Pritchett was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 11, 2020.
