St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 132 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Reginald Howard Layton, 40, 309 Rod Lane, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on January 18, 2020, at 1:39 am for driving under suspension and no proper equipment. Layton was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Anthony Javonte Harris, 24, 214 Arizona Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2020, at 10:41 am on an MCPD warrant for contempt of court-fine. Harris is being held for another agency.

Johnny Freeman, Jr., 68, 216 St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2020, at 12:01 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Freeman was later released on a $1,500 bond.

Seantelle Marie Treto, 34, 220 Belanger Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2020, at 5:36 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of improper lane usage and failure to honor written promise to appear.  Bail was set at $350.

Daniel David Ramirez, 44, 533 Arlington Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2020, at 5:59 am for disturbing the peace-intoxicated. Ramirez was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Tiara S. Willis, 22, 503 Canal Drive, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 18, 2020, at 11:16 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding, window tint/obstructing windshield/window view, and failure to honor written promise to appear.  Willis was released on a $395 bond.

Yvette Ann Perry, 46, 517 Willow Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 18, 2020, at 2:45 pm for theft.  Perry was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Brandi Nicole Johnson, 26, 506 Joey Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 19, 2020, at 8:57 am for driving under suspension and careless operation.  Johnson was released on a $1,500 bond.

John Trevon Jones, 29, 128 Bray Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 19, 2020, at 1:44 am for battery-simple and disturbing the peace by language. Jones was released on a $2,500 bond.

Shana Sherice Jones, 29, 128 Bray Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 19, 2020, at 1:44 am for battery-simple and disturbing the peace by language. Jones was released on a $500 bond.

Melvin Francis Duval, Jr., 54, 101 Pluto Street, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on January 19, 2020, at 8:49 am for disturbing the peace by language. Duval was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Jennifer L. Carmody, 34, 114 Lincoln Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 19, 2020, at 10:13 am for driving under suspension. Carmody was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Matthew Blanks, 38, 813 Iberia Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 19, 2020, at 10:51 am on the following charges:

• No proper equipment
• Illegal tinted windows
• Aggravated flight from officer
• Obstruction of highway-aggravated
• Open container

No bail has been set.

Raven Rene Clements, 35, 401 Malcolm Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on January 19, 2020, at 12:38 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of careless operation w/crash and failure to return for jury duty. Clements was released on a $350 bond.

Benjamin Paul Picard, 26, 214 Chauvin Drive, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 19, 2020, at 1:59 pm for domestic abuse battery (misd). Picard was released on a $2,500 bond.

Kaila Alissia Johnson, 30, 404 Sanaren Street, Charenton, LA, was arrested on January 20, 2020, at 2:27 pm on an Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear on the charge of misdemeanor arraignment. Johnson was released on a $250 bond.

Juvenile male, 15, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 20, 2020, at 11:03 am for possession of marijuana.  The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Derick Labry, Jr., 20, 370 Hunting Road, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 20, 2020, at 11:34 am for turning movements and required signals, driver must be licensed, and possession of marijuana. Labry was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Rashard C. Harvey, 33, 5319 Maid Marion Drive, Pascagoula, MS, was arrested on January 20, 2020, at 10:31 pm no license plate light and possession of marijuana. Harvey was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Evan Gage Perkins, 24, 1583 Prairie Road Circle, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 1:25 am for possession of schedule II drugs.  Bail was set at $1,500.

Grant Robinson Ellis, 21, 8637 Aston Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 1:25 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule II drug with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule IV drug
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Improper lane usage

Bail was set at $5,000

 

K9 DIVISION

Diedra Louise Martin, 46, 702 Williams Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2020, at 2:27 pm for possession of schedule I (MDMA),  possession of schedule II with intent to distribute (methamphetamine), driving under suspension, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A K-9 deputy was stationary on Lake Palourde Road near Friendship Alley when he observed a vehicle being driven by Martin, who he knew had a suspended license. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Martin. Dispatch confirmed that Martin's license was suspended. K9 Chara was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff and showed an odor response to the vehicle. Methamphetamine, MDMA, and drug paraphernalia was found. Martin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $13,500.
