St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Andrew Lee Goleman, 40, 3315 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 9:14 pm for possession of methamphetamines and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. No bail has been set.

Verelyn Benjamin Cannon, 61, 1017 Ciro Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 10:36 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to signal. Cannon was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Alita Marie Tabb, 20, 241 Deslinger Road, Charenton, LA, was arrested on January 22, 2020, at 2:39 am on an MCPD warrant for failure to appear on the charges headlights required and contempt of court, and on an FPD warrant for probation violation. Tabb was transferred to another agency.

Earl John Jones, 42, 118 Fox Lane, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 9:17 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. No bail has been set.

Jeremy Jarrod Watson, 32, 2205 Maple Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 10:04 am for no seat belt, driving under suspension, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Watson was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Katelyn Louise Bourque, 24, 4801 Dolphin Street, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 12:35 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of probation violation. Bourque was released on a $750 bond.

Christopher James Newsom, 34, 160 Oxford Loop, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 1:57 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia, proper equipment required on vehicles, and possession of marijuana. Newsom was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Robert Keith Tillman, Jr., 29, 122 Baronne Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 3:03 pm for probation violation. Bail has not been set.

Brooke Elizabeth Henman, 30, 2602 Lake Palourde Road, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 8:21 am on a warrant for theft. No bail has been set.

 

NARCOTICS DIVISION

Gerald Dupas, 33, 801 Iberia Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 21, 2020, at 2:21 pm on a warrant for conspiracy to distribution of Schedule I (heroin) and theft.

A deputy with the assistance of the Franklin Police Department made contact with Dupas, who held an active warrant for his arrest. Narcotics detectives with the SMPSO went to the location and made contact with Dupas and advised him of the active warrant. The warrant stemmed from a Narcotics Division investigation in October 2019 in which Dupas was developed as a suspect that was involved in negotiating a drug transaction. Dupas was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $81,500.
