St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Nathan David Chaisson, 30, 9725 Panama City Beach, Panama, FL, was arrested on January 27, 2020, at 4:06 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine.

A transportation deputy made contact with Chaisson when he transported him from the Bay County Annex Facility to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $200,000.

 

 

Curtis Paul Gaudet, Jr., 26, 2211 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2020, at 11:40 am for domestic abuse battery by strangulation. No bail has been set.

Dwight Perry Blackburn, 40, 526 Prairie Road North, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2020, at 7:23 pm for driving under suspension. Blackburn was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Shane Allen Paul, Sr., 32, 302 Lockley Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2020, at 8:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $14,090.77

James P. Chaisson, 53, 101 Aucoin Lane, Amelia, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2020, at 11:36 pm for driving under suspension and improper lane usage. Chaisson was released on a summons to appear on May 1, 2020.

Derek Lee Witherow, 30, 5461 South 4405 Road, Locust Grove, OK, was arrested on January 28, 2020, at 8:43 pm for improper lane usage and driving while intoxicated. Bail was set at $2,750.

 

NARCOTICS DIVISION

Jamie Bullock, 30, 111 Cajun Way, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2020, at 7:27 pm on the following charges:

-        Possession of schedule I (heroin)

-        Possession of schedule I (marijuana)

-        Possession of schedule III (Suboxone)

-        Possession of schedule IV (Xanax)

-        Possession of drug paraphernalia

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Section were assisting with an investigation at a business in Amelia when they made contact with Bullock, who was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Bullock was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
