St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Derick Damond Jackson, 33, 2237 Highway 318, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on February 19, 2020, at 2:13 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• Possession of a schedule II CDS (cocaine)
• Possession of a schedule II CDS (methamphetamine)
• Possession of schedule I CDS (heroin)
• Resisting an officer

Jackson was released on a $5,000 bond.

Cody Paul Trosclair, 28, 126 Boudreaux Lane, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on February 19, 2020, at 11:29 pm for battery of a correctional officer. No bail has been set.

NARCOTICS DIVISION

Douglas J. Chaisson, Jr., 42, 116 West 35th Street, Larose, LA, was arrested on February 19, 2020, at 1:21 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule III (steroid nandrolone phenyl propionate)
• Possession of schedule III (steroid testosterone plus)
• Possession of schedule III (steroid testosterone pill)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Chaisson was released on a $6,500 bond.
