St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Tommy James Trosclair, Jr., 28, 200 Enterprise Avenue, Patterson, LA, was arrested on April 23, 2020, at 2:50 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of lorazepam and resisting an officer. No bail has been set.

Edmond Lepar Bishop, 55, 216 Jupiter Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 23, 2020, at 10:30 am for possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS. Bishop was released on a $5,000 bond.

Brock Matthew Menard, 33, 210 Jupiter Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 23, 2020, at 10:30 am for possession of methamphetamines, obstruction of justice-tampering, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no seat belt. Menard was released on a $5,000 bond.

K9/NARCOTICS SECTION

Calvin Lee Mitchell, Jr., 49, 316 Comeaux Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on April 23, 2020, at 7:05 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule II drug with intent to distribute (Cocaine)
• Transactions involving drug proceeds
• Obstruction of justice-tampering with evidence
• Driving with a suspended license
• Improper lane usage

A deputy working interdiction on Highway 90 conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Mitchell. K9 Buddy was deployed to conduct a scan of the outside of the vehicle and showed a positive odor response. Through the investigation, drugs and money were found. Dispatch advised the deputy that Mitchell's license was suspended. Mitchell was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has been set at $200,000.
