St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Gregory Joseph Mitchell, 61, 2384 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA, was arrested on May 5, 2020, at 12:36 am for possession of marijuana, failure/owner secure registration, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mitchell was released on a summons to appear on August 21, 2020.

Kenan Jones, 21, 111 Nichole Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on May 5, 2020, at 2:45 am for possession of marijuana, improper lane usage, and driving under suspension. Jones was released on a summons to appear on August 21, 2020.

NARCOTICS SECTION

Cole Zephrien Fruge, 28, 502 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on May 4, 2020, at 2:15 pm on a warrant for possession of Schedule II drugs (methamphetamine). Fruge continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

Jamon Clayborn Bias, 39, 303 Egle Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on May 4, 2020, at 9:14 pm for aggravated flight from officer, improper lane usage, and driving under suspension. No bail has been set.
