St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Leonard James Bernard, 52, 2402 Fourth Street, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2020, at 1:59 pm for maximum speed limit and driving under suspension. Bernard was released on a summons to appear on August 21, 2020.

Christopher Ellison, 31, 18754 Highway 22, Amant, LA, was arrested on May 19, 2020, at 12:14 am on the following charges:

• turning movements and signals required
• driving under suspension
• possession of methamphetamines
• possession of marijuana
• possession of drug paraphernalia
• false representation counterfeit CDS with intent to distribute.

No bail has been set.

Sabrina Lamendola, 42, 18792 Highway 22, Maurepas, LA, was arrested on May 19, 2020, at 12:14 am on the following charges:

• possession of methamphetamines
• possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• possession of drug paraphernalia
• false representation counterfeit CDS with intent to distribute.
• Obstruction of justice
• Possession of THC wax
• Introduction of contraband-penal institution
• Possession of LSD

No bail has been set.

Aaron Melancon, 42, 91244 Little Place Road, Gonzales, LA, was arrested on May 19, 2020, at 12:14 am for possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bail has been set.

Sylvester Louis Lee Francois, Jr., 22, 271 Grandwood Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on May 19, 2020, at 2:40 am for no taillights, driving under suspension, violation of protective orders, and battery-simple. Francois was released on a $6,250 bond.  

Darius Dwyone Preston, 21, 108 Richard Street, Ashton, LA, was arrested on May 19, 2020, at 1:58 am for possession of firearm with obliterated serial number, possession of marijuana, and possession of firearm in the presence of a CDS. No bail has been set.

Breanna Hillebran, 21, 521 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2020, at 5:45 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule II (methamphetamines) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule IV (xanax) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule III (Subutex)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Transactions involving drug proceeds
• Monetary instrument abuse

Hillebran was released on a $3,500 bond.

Emily Borel, 26, 521 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2020, at 5:45 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule II (methamphetamines) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule III (Subutex)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Transactions involving drug proceeds
• Monetary instrument abuse

Borel was released on a $3,500 bond.
