Arrest Report- July 7, 2020

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Beau Kevin Boudreaux, 41, 111 Edie Ann Drive, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on July 6, 2020, at 5:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.  No bail has been set.

 

K9 SECTION

Leon Danon Clark, 44, 1026 Griage Street, Houma, LA, was arrested on July 7, 2020, at 1:26 am for aggravated flight from officer and resisting arrest or officer.

A K9 deputy was patrolling the area of Amelia when he was contacted by a K9 officer from Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office regarding a vehicle pursuit coming towards St. Mary Parish. A short time later, the deputy observed the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 90 westbound and joined the pursuit. An officer with the Berwick Police Department deployed stop sticks on the highway which the vehicle ran over. The vehicle continued to travel with a tire coming apart until the vehicle reached the Baldwin exit.  The driver, later identified as Clark, opened the door, bailed out of the vehicle, and ran south across Highway 90.

K9 Buddy, who is certified in criminal apprehension, was deployed and quickly apprehended Clark. Clark was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and is being held for another agency.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Humberton Armando Gonzales, 31, 1507 Crossroad #2, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on July 6, 2020, at 5:32 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant for indecent behavior with juvenile.

At approximately 2:12 pm, the SMPSO responded to a call regarding a subject who was barricaded in a residence on Crossroad #2 in Bayou Vista.  Upon arrival, deputies attempted numerous times to contact the subject, identified as Gonzales.

Eventually, communication was established with Gonzales and negotiations began. Through the investigation on the scene, a warrant was obtained for Gonzales. At 5:20 pm, he was taken into custody and arrested on the warrant. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia belonging to Gonzales were also found. 

Bail has been set at $53,500.
