Arrest Report- July 13, 2020

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 108 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Kevin Latroy Darby, 29, 403 Martin Luther King Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on July 11, 2020, at 1:04 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family, and the following new charges:

  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of schedule IV drug with intent to distribute (Xanax)
  • Possession of schedule I drugs (heroin)
  • Illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS
  • Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments (Illegal discharge)

Cheryl Lynn Lumpkin, 38, 1311 Cypremort Road, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on July 11, 2020, at 1:04 pm for prohibited acts all schedules.

A deputy was dispatched to an area on Verdun Lane in reference to shots being fired. On the way to the location, he observed a vehicle matching the description given in connection with the complaint. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Lumpkin, and a passenger, identified as Darby. Through the investigation, drugs and a handgun were located. Darby admitted he had discharged the weapon. Darby and Lumpkin were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Lumpkin was released on a $1,500 bond.  No bail has been set for Darby.

 

Nathaniel Jones, 62, 1509 Cherry Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on July 12, 2020, at 3:37 pm for theft.  Jones was released on a summons to appear on October 22, 2020.

Floiran Lopez Santos, 45, 801 Waterworks Road, Amelia, LA, was arrested on July 12, 2020, at 6:22 pm for improper supervision of a minor by a parent. Santos was released on a summons to appear on October 22, 2020.

Anthony Wayne Bonner, 54, 109 Homestead Lane, Patterson, LA, was arrested on July 12, 2020, at 6:49 pm for assault-aggravated. Bonner was released on a $1,500 bond.
