St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Archie J. Vining, Jr., 71, 804 Fig Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on September 17, 2020, at 10:44 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of residential contractor fraud. Bail was set at $10,000.

 

Britten Emanuel Businelle, 37, 543 Wheelis Lane, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on September 17, 2020, at 1:21 pm for domestic abuse battery by strangulation. No bail has been set.

 

Mindy Macaluso, 37, 513 Wheelis Lane, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on September 17, 2020, at 1:21 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. Macaluso was released on a summons to appear on December 11, 2020.

 

Shawn Tyrone Jenkins, 43, 506 Morris Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on September 17, 2020, at 10:15 pm on two Franklin Police Department warrants for the charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and violation of a protective order. Jenkins is being held for another agency.

 

Glen Charles Gallet, 28, 1063 Douet Street, Breaux Bridge, LA, was arrested on September 18, 2020, at 4:40 am for no tail lights and possession of marijuana. Gallet was released on a summons to appear on December 11, 2020.
