St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jeremy Earl Gamble, Jr., 22, 159 Elaine Street, Bayou Lourse, LA, was arrested on October 15, 2020, at 12:59 pm for driving under suspension. Gamble was released on a summons to appear on January 7, 2021.

 

Morris Franklin Hankins, 51, 10608 Highway 182, Garden City, LA, was arrested on October 15, 2020, at 12:46 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse. Hankins was released on a $5,000 bond.

 

Deairiuse King, 19, 275 S. Main Street, Bude, MS, was arrested on October 15, 2020, at 10:05 pm on the following charges:

• Improper lane usage
• Driver must be licensed
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

King was released on a summons to appear on January 7, 2021.

 

Clifton James Escort, Jr., 42, 510 Greenwood St., Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 16, 2020, at 1:21 am on the following charges:

• Driving while intoxicated
• Hit and run
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Escort was also arrested on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. No bail has been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Heather M. Theriot, 43, 1016 Perrett Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 15, 2020, at 2:37 pm for possession of schedule I (synthetic marijuana), possession of schedule III (suboxen), and entering contraband into a penal institute.  No bail has been set.

 

Terrance Robinson, 43, 151 St. Joseph Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 15, 2020, at 4:14 pm on a warrant for possession or dealing in unregistered or illegally transferred weapons. Robinson was released on a $100,000 bond.
