Arrest Report- December 9, 2020

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 31 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

James Patrick Freifeld, 40, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 8, 2020, at 3:09 pm for view outward or inward through windshield obstruction, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of schedule II drugs. No bail has been set.

 

Megan Elise Soulet, 30, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on December 9, 2020, at 12:45 pm for leash law. Soulet was released on a summons to appear on March 30, 2021.

 

Micky Dewayne Collins, 40, Charenton, LA, was arrested on December 8, 2020, at 3:53 pm on a warrant for possession of schedule I drugs.  No bail has been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Shaljaup Williams, 30, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 8, 2020, at 6:03 pm on the following charges:

  • Possession of schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by person convicted of a felony
  • Resisting a police officer with force or violence
  • Resisting an officer-failure to identify
  • Possession of schedule II (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS
  • Transactions involving drug proceeds
  • Violation of a uniform controlled dangerous substances law; drug-free zone
  • Entering contraband into a penal institution

Bail was set at $100,000.

 

Verelyn Benjamin Cannon, 61, Siracusaville, LA, was arrested on December 8, 2020, at 5:21 pm on the following charges:

  • Resisting an officer
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Possession of schedule II (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute
  • Transactions involving drug proceeds
  • Violation of a uniform controlled dangerous substances law; drug-free zone

Cannon was released on a $5,000 bond.

 

Conley T. Jones, 71, Siracusaville, LA, was arrested on December 8, 2020, at 5:21 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones was released on a summons to appear on March 30, 2021.
