St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 25 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Seth A. Segura, 29, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on January 5, 2021, at 3:39 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of schedule II drugs.  Bail has not been set.

 

Joseph Anthony Acosta, 38, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 5, 2021, at 4:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of attempted theft of less than $1,000. Acosta was released on a summons to appear on April 27, 2021.
