St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Gregory Johnson, 61, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 22, 2021, at 11:09 am for driving on roadway laned for traffic and possession of marijuana (2 counts).  Johnson was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

 

Nelson Lacoste Jr., 44, Berwick, LA, was arrested on April 22, 2021, at 12:29 pm on the following charges :

• Theft
• Entry on or remaining in places or land after being forbidden
• Burglary from a vehicle
• Criminal damage to property-simple

Lacoste also held a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. Lacoste was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Nikolas James Morris II, 33, Thibodaux, LA, was arrested on April 22, 2021, at 11:41 am on three warrants on the charges of criminal neglect of family, violation of protective orders, and theft.  Bail has not been set.

 

Armand Joseph Thomas, 22, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on April 22, 2021, at 1:07 pm on the following charges:

• No license plate
• No insurance
• Failure/owner secure registration
• Driving under suspension

Thomas was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

 

Jaandre K. Willis, 21, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on April 22, 2021, at 9:44 pm for no insurance, switched license plate/stolen license plate, and improper lane usage. Willis was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.
