St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Juvenile female, 16, Patterson, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 10:53 am for disturbing the peace by fighting. The juvenile female was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Raymond Vincent Owens III, 21, Patterson, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 10:53 am for disturbing the peace by fighting. Owens was released on a 1,000 bond.

 

James Salone Austin Sr., 39, Centerville, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 10:55 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. No bail has been set.

 

Christopher J. Mayon, 45, Gibson, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 3:39 pm for reckless operation-no accident and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled and speeding. Mayon was released on a $5,500 bond.

 

Cedric Benjamin Gant, 23, Amelia, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 1:52 pm on a warrant for violation of protective orders.  Gant was released on a $5,000 bond.

 

Juvenile male, 16, Centerville, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 10:33 am for disturbing the peace by fighting. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Juvenile male, 15, Centerville, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 10:33 am for disturbing the peace by fighting. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Billy Gregory Johnson, 60, Houma, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 8:59 pm for disturbing the peace- violent manner & tumultuous and driving while intoxicated.  was released on a $5,000 bond.

 

Lamarcus Jermaine Francois, 26, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 11:47 pm for general speed law, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Francois also held an Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear on the charge of maximum speed limit.  Bail was set at $3,750 and a hold was placed on Francois for another agency.

 

George Arthur Hollibaugh, 69, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 8:46 pm for indecent behavior with juveniles.

On Thursday, April 29, 2021, Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Investigations Section and Detectives with the Berwick Police Department along with the agencies listed below conducted a joint operation. During the course of the investigation, Hollibaugh and another subject were identified as suspects, and warrants for their arrest were obtained. The subjects were located and arrested without incident.  Hollibaugh was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has not been set at this time.
