St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 51 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Lucas D. Landry, 20, Berwick, LA, was arrested on May 6, 2021, at 10:06 pm possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Landry was released on a summons to appear on August 19, 2021.

 

Juvenile female, 15, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on May 6, 2021, at 11:58 pm for possession of marijuana. The juvenile female was released to the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Isyss Zynae Clay, 18, New Iberia, LA was arrested on May 6, 2021, at 11:29 pm for turning movements and required signals and resisting officer by flight. Bail was set at $1,750.

 

Gregory Scott Payne, Sr., 45, Berwick, LA was arrested on May 7, 2021, at 12:36 am for no license plate light and driving under suspension. Payne also held three warrants for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $76,419.40.

 

Lonnie Ray Baker Jr., 29, Franklin, LA was arrested on May 7, 2021, at 1:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $1,593.00.

 

Nicholas Starkey, 24, Gray, LA was arrested on May 7, 2021, at 2:09 am for general speed law and driving under suspension. Starkey was released on a summons to appear on August 19, 2021.
