St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Daniel Smith, 35, Gibson, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2021, at 12:16 for speeding, driving under suspension, and no insurance. Smith was released on a summons to appear on August 25, 2021.

 

Walter J. Williams, 63, Patterson, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2021, at 7:15 pm for improper lane usage and driving under suspension. Williams was released on a summons to appear on August 25, 2021.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Jawaylin Francis, 20, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2021, at 8:37 am on the following charges:

• Brake light out
• Possession of schedule I (marijuana)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor

Francis was released on a summons to appear on August 25, 2021.
