Arrest Report- June 11, 2021

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jondre Jaman Wesley, 38, Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 10, 2021, at 1:35 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of for domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set.



Andrew William Kovac Jr., 39, Amelia, LA, was arrested on June 10, 2021, at 1:35 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple criminal damage to property. Bail was set at $2,500.

 

Varice Kevin Richardson, 27, Amelia, LA, was arrested on June 10, 2021, at 3:05 pm for criminal trespass, battery-simple, and probation violation. Richardson is being held for another agency.

 

Damien Kane Keller, 37, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on June 10, 2021, at 2:35 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of theft (2 counts) and criminal trespassing. Keller also held an active warrant through the Alabama Department of Corrections for probation violation. Bail was set at $5,000 on the SMPSO warrants and Keller is being held for another agency.

 

Chad Toups, 47, Amelia, LA, was arrested on June 10, 2021, at 6:37 pm for forgery. No bail has been set.

 

Johnny Derouen, 58, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on June 11, 2021, at 1:46 am for driving under suspension and improper lane usage. Derouen was released on a summons to appear on September 1, 2021.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION


Darrell Traylor, 25, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on June 10, 2021, at 4:59 pm on the following charges:

  • Improper display of a license plate
  • Improper lane usage
  • Possession of schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of schedule I (MDMA)
  • Possession of schedule II (cocaine)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS

Traylor was released on a $15,250 bond.

 

Paul Marks, 29, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on June 10, 2021, at 4:35 pm for improper lane usage, possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles, and possession of schedule I (marijuana). Marks was released on a summons to appear on September 1, 2021.
