St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Thomas Wayne Hughes, 33, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 29, 2021, at 7:51 am for proper equipment required on vehicles and driving under suspension. Hughes was released on a summons to appear on September 1, 2021.

 

Angelina Yen Nhi Thi Tran, 21, Amelia, LA, was arrested on June 29, 2021, at 2:43 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tran was released on a summons to appear on September 1, 2021.

 

Brandon Michael Hill, 38, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 29, 2021, at 9:59 pm for theft. Hill was released on a summons to appear on September 1, 2021.

 

Eric Chan Harvey, 37, Harvey, LA, was arrested on June 30, 2021, at 12:54 am on the following charges:

• No head lights
• Driving under suspension
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of marijuana

Harvey also held an Assumption Parish S.O. Warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of hunting or taking deer illegal hours or with artificial light.

Bail was set at $4,750 on the SMPSO charges and a hold was placed on Harvey for another agency.

 

Cecilia Abigail Matamoros Dormas, 25, Amelia, LA, was arrested on June 30, 2021, at 2:30 am for disturbing the peace by fighting and battery-simple.i Bail was set at $3,500.

 

Asia Marie Do, 26, Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 30, 2021, at 4:28 am for possession of marijuana. Do was released on a summons to appear on September 1, 2021.
