St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 32 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Anthony Tony Bourda Jr., 40, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 14, 2021, at 12:05 am on the following charges:

• turning movements and required signals
• driving on roadway laned for traffic
• resisting arrest or officer
• possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
• possession of drug paraphernalia
• introduction of contraband-penal institution
• possession of heroin with intent to distribute
• possession of marijuana

Bail was set at $65,500.

 

Heather Mae Latiolais, 26, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on October 14, 2021, at 11:21 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule II CDS with intent to distribute, possession/distribution/sale of legend drug without prescription (2 counts). Bail has not been set.

 

Scotty Paul Miller, 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2021, at 1:21 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and criminal damage to property-simple. Bail has not been set.

 

Devin Allen, 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2021, at 4:31 pm for domestic abuse battery by strangulation and domestic abuse child endangerment law. Bail was set at $3,500.

 

Eddie Bob Norman, Jr., 43, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2021, at 3:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

• operating a motor vehicle not covered by security
• operating a vehicle with an expired driver's license
• resisting an officer
• improper turn and/or failure to give required signal

No bail has been set.

 

Solomon Walker, 20, Eunice, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2021, at 12:14 pm for remaining or entry on places where forbidden. Walker was released on a summons to appear on January 4, 2021.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Joseph James, 40, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2021, at 1:45 pm on the following charges:

• Improper display of license plate
• Driving under suspension
• Window tint violation
• Two brake lights required
• Possession of schedule I (heroin) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I (MDMA) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule II (adderall)

Bail was set at $65,500.

 

Makayla Spain, 30, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2021, at 1:45 pm on the following charges:

• Obstruction of justice
• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of schedule I (heroin) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I (MDMA) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule II (adderall)

Bail was set at $65,500.
