St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 24 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

John Robert Hymel, 18, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 8, 2021, at 10:39 am on a warrant for cyberstalking (3 counts) and cyberbullying (3 counts). Hymel was released on a $30,000 bond.

 

Randell Wayne Price, 38, Ada, OK, was arrested on December 9, 2021, at 2:47 am for driving while intoxicated-2nd offense. Bail was set at $5,000.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Demarcus Deshawn McNeal, 24, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 8, 2021, at 11:10 am on the following charges:

• Possession of schedule I marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

McNeal also held a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule II drugs (methamaphetamine) and resisting an officer. Bail has not been set.
