Detectives Investigating Thursday Evening Armed Robbery In Amelia

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith announced that detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Amelia on Thursday evening.

At around 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, deputies and detectives responded to a call of an armed robbery that occurred at a local business. Investigators learned that a man had entered the business, produced a handgun, and stole merchandise and cash.
